I can finally share that we have published my first paper out of the Laboratory of Protein Conformation and Dynamics with Dr. Jennifer C. Lee. We took on the challenge of studying intracellular hydration using the bend-libration of water. We were able to generate hydration maps that beautifully visualize the complexity of intracellular water organization. This approach has the potential for future developments in biomedical research and diagnostics. Proud to be a part of such exciting work! #biomedicalresearch #water #Ramanspectroscopy #hydrationmaps #intracellularhydration

Strategic Science and Technology Expert at forefront of chemical, biological, and technological innovation.
For those interested in non-destructive analyses for measuring/observing function. Live cell imaging like those from EMSL’s NanoLive and Lattice Light Sheet microscope offers a fantastic means to overserve phenotypic changes seen in morphology and interactions dynamically to better understand and predict function when perturbed…
What makes live cell imaging such a crucial part of biological research? ✔️ Time-lapse, 3-D microscopy ✔️ Repeat observations ✔️ Visualization of the processes of single cells, whole cells, or subcellular activity These platforms include the NanoLive and Lattice Light Sheet - both of which are available through the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory's open calls for proposals. Our recent publication is now available in Elsevier's Talanta journal! " Design of a rapid electrochemical biosensor based on MXene/Pt/C nanocomposite and DNA/RNA hybridization for the detection of COVID-19." We introduce the novel DNA electrochemical sensor for the detection of SARS-CoV-2. · MXene/Pt/C nanocomposite was used as a signal amplifier. · The biosensor exhibited excellent sensitivity, with a detection limit of 60 copies/mL." · The biosensor demonstrated 97.87% specificity and 100% sensitivity for 192 clinical samples using statistical analysis. · The biosensor was applied to test diverse matrices, including nasopharyngeal swabs, serum, and saliva samples · In order to facilitate the use of this sensor and speed up the process similar to the point of care test, nasopharyngeal samples without the whole extraction processes have been analyzed. I am honored to have collaborated with Monireh bolourinezhad, under the invaluable guidance of Dr. Seyed Mohammad Taghdisi and the late Dr. Majid Rezayi. Our journey has been shaped by his wisdom, expertise, and unwavering dedication. This research work, now featured in Elsevier's Talanta journal, stands as a testament to his profound influence on shaping the future of scientific discovery and innovation. His legacy continues to inspire and drive our pursuit of knowledge in his honor. #biosensor #covid19 #electrochemical #nanotechnology For more in-depth insights into our research, please refer to the link provided below: https://lnkd.in/e5w4bYB7
