Mobile Home & RV Park Owner (4,462 lots, 83 MHPs/RVPs) I Help People Achieve Financial Freedom Through Mobile Home Park Investing ➡ DM Me For Details ➡️ Follow Me For Content ➡ Real Estate ➡ Mobile Home Parks ➡ Investing
Let’s talk about the art of war in business partnerships. In any relationship, disagreements are inevitable. I’ve witnessed high-quality partnerships crumble in the face of conflict. For Ian and I, it was our mutual goal that goes beyond owning and operating mobile home parks that helped us get through hard days. But more importantly, we mastered how to disagree well with each other. Emotions sometimes get in the way of logic --- that’s human nature. So we make fun of each other. A lot. The comedy keeps us from killing each other! Partnerships, like financial leverage, either multiply your output or amplify your misery. We chose to focus on the former. We don’t hide behind our egos or take things personally. We created an environment that allows us to be our vulnerable, authentic selves to build on that trust. So when you are in the heat of the moment, fight to hold yourself rational. Go back and remember what you’re trying to build towards and achieve together. And move forward without contempt. Is that easier said than done? Sound off down below! 🎉🎉🎉

Colossians 4:5-6 (AMP) 5 Conduct yourself with wisdom in your interactions with outsiders (non-believers), make the most of each opportunity [treating it as something precious]. 6 Let your speech at all times be gracious and pleasant, seasoned with salt, so that you will know how to answer each one [who questions you].

In August, Constant Contact's Black, Women and Able Affinity groups (ERGs), co-sponsored viewings of Arise Firebird by Folajimi Worldwide as well as a discussion with director Jimi Okubanjo. The documentary shares the powerful, personal stories of black women who were driven out of the workplace due to the discrimination, attitudes, behaviors and outright disrespect directed at them. The documentary equally shares their inspirational resilience after removing themselves from the lion's cage, and each finding paths of fulfillment. This experience opened my eyes and heart to deeply emotional stories and experiences; it has resurged a spark to help leaders understand what inclusion, allyship and a respectful workplace truly feel like; and it reminded me that we each have the ability to change the world for the better - one person at a time. If inclusion, allyship, diversity, psychological safety, or simply being good human beings are important to you or your business, I encourage you to watch the two-minute trailer, to reach out to Jimi, to share this experience with your leaders and your employees, and engage in powerful dialogue. I am so proud of the team that brought this to Constant Contact, and thankful for how it continues to shape my thinking. #arisefirebird #Inspirechange #onectct #constantcontact #leadership #Inclusion #allyship #diversity #humanresources https://lnkd.in/gET7Yn2r

Flag Day, celebrated on June 14th, commemorates the adoption of the United States flag in 1777. The essence of Flag Day carries profound lessons for our professional journeys. Just as the flag symbolizes unity, resilience, and identity, these principles are crucial in our careers. Unity fosters collaboration and innovation. When we come together as a team, our collective strengths create a synergy that propels us forward. Resilience, another core value of Flag Day, is equally vital. In the face of challenges, it’s our ability to adapt and persevere that defines our success. The flag has weathered many storms, much like our careers. Each setback is an opportunity to learn, grow, and emerge stronger. Lastly, identity is about knowing who we are and what we stand for. In the professional world, this translates to personal branding. Your unique skills, values, and experiences are what set you apart.
