On World Environment Day we’re delighted to announce that we’re expanding the use of solar power in our plants – continuing our commitment to installing new renewable energy production systems in our manufacturing sites. Following our teams in Spain and Ireland, the Recordati plant in Türkiye is following suit and is now authorised to use its newly completed solar panel system. These solar panels have a maximum power output of around 480 kWp, covering part of the plant's needs. Any further electricity needed for the plant will continue to be purchased from grid, ensuring that it comes from renewable sources. A great example of our sustainability approach through responsible action, protecting our most important assets: people and planet. #WorldEnvironmentDay #Sustainability #PeopleandPlanet

🔋 Renewable energy is more important now than ever for energy security and a sustainable future.   120 new solar photovoltaic power plants in Spain, Italy, and Portugal will produce an estimated 9.29 TWh a year clean energy per year, with a total capacity of approximately 5.6 GW. 🌍 𝐍𝐞𝐭-𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 🌱 Last week, the European Parliament gave green light to the Net-Zero Industry Act, setting a target for Europe to produce 40% of its annual deployment needs in net-zero technologies by 2030 (based on National Energy and Climate Plans). ✨ Cross-sectoral #collaboration drives the #energytransition. Today, in partnership with Cepi, we are excited to publish a factsheet on #solarheat integration as a solution for the decarbonisation of the #pulpandpaper industry.   The pulp and paper sector is on a mission to achieve #climateneutrality in Europe by 2050. This ambitious goal necessitates the reduction of #emissions through the adoption of #energyefficient technologies and the effective use of #fossilfree energy sources, such as Solar Heat for Industrial Processes (SHIP). 📜 🌞 The factsheet was launched in conjunction with the Cepi Energy Efficiency Solutions Forum Day in Brussels, where our sector's commitment was showed by the active participation of our Managing Director, Valérie Séjourné, in a roundtable discussion. The International Solar Alliance is excited to announce the Private Sector Roundtable Discussion: "Empowering Europe’s Solar Future," taking place on June 13th, 2024, in Brussels, Belgium, on the sidelines of the Fifth Meeting of the ISA Regional Committee for Europe and the Others Region. It provides an opportunity for key stakeholders to collaborate and chart a course for the future of Europe’s solar industry.
