Introducing our Director of Collections, Eric Campbell! We sat down with Eric to learn more about his work at Rapid, as well as his passions outside of work. Q: What are 3 words that best describe you? A: Loyal, Dedicated, and Supportive Q: What does your typical day look like? A: My typical day starts with updating the daily collections numbers to make sure my team is on track to meet production goals. I will review the daily ACH return payment report to assure all payments that our clients set up clear their banks and get applied to their accounts. I check in with senior team members for updates and suggestions, take calls from team members to discuss concerns and production strategies, attend Zoom meetings with our leadership team to triage completed tasks and to give updates about the team's production, and regularly speak with clients in between all of that to move on resolving balances. I am so honored to lead teams that are self-motivated and driven to meet our goals. Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work that fulfills you? A: Like most people, I love traveling. Traveling with my wife of 19 years is very fulfilling. Beach vacations are the best. In addition to that, my wife and I are foodies. During warmer months, we love eating at our favorite restaurants—we are always in search of new restaurants! Family time is important to us and we enjoy entertaining family and friends in our backyard. My wife and I are long time Spades champs and we enjoy getting out on the water with friends for an afternoon of fishing. In the winter months, I spend a lot of time at home. We whip out our digital recipe book that we saved from YouTube and cook some great meals. We enjoy having dinner parties with our family and friends on the weekends. We also love live entertainment such as comedy shows and music concerts. A couple of my favorite shows include Stevie Wonder performing his Songs in the Key of Life album live in Washington D.C. and Wu-Tang Clan's performance at Jiffy Lube Live in Virginia. Q: What is your favorite work quote that motivates you every day? A: I'm not sure who to give credit for the quote "Simplicity is genius" but it is by far my favorite work quote and ISM. "Simplifying things in this fast-moving, complicated world isn't just good—it's GREAT." What a quote!
