Looker Studio Template 3. Merge Google Search Console + Google Analytics 4 data by landing page metrics. This one is the most popular. This is a unique report that I created in 2020 to merge Universal Analytics and Google Search Console data. Now it is updated and works to merge Google Search Console and new Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data. Thank God, Looker Studio added the 'landing page' parameter to the GA4 connector recently and I got the ability to update the template. The report answers 1 specific question: How many clicks, conversions, and revenue can a page get if it ranks in first place for all the keywords for which it currently has impressions in Google search and its conversion rate and average order value remains the same as before? Usually, digital marketers, analysts, and SEO specialists focus on existing traffic and conversions by landing page to judge which page to optimize and improve first. This is a good tactic, but you should be focused on the FUTURE, not the PAST. The landing page may have a lot of traffic from organic search, but the main question is how much additional traffic it can get. The same questions for conversions and revenue. Well. I just discovered the power and simplicity of Looker Studio for my SEO reports. Here, you can combine everything you want from different platforms and points of view. ✅ A few examples: 1) You can combine data from #GoogleSearchConsole and Semrush to get accurate positions, monthly keyword volume, and CPC in one table. Thanks for idea Lada Kalashnikova 2) Combine in one table up to 5 keyword reports from different websites with #Semrush position metrics. Or keep on one page 10 charts from different Google Search Console hosts with preset filters of your choice. 3) Make backlinks research and enrich this with #GoogleAnalytics data. I am excited to share a recent Looker Studio dashboard I worked on. The major challenge was that I had to incorporate SEO-related metrics in the report while the website was missing a Google Search Console integration, and the dashboard had to be delivered within a day. When it comes to SEO, you surely don't want to miss out on keyword information because that is exactly what SEO is all about, right? However, missing out on Google Search Console integration was a major hurdle in acquiring the required keyword information for the website. I knew I had to become more creative to acquire the required keyword-related information for the website. So, how did I do it? By rolling up my sleeves, and pushing myself to brainstorm different ideas on how it can be achieved. And I finally got it! To get keyword-related metrics for the website, I used Ahrefs, which is a tool SEO experts use to do keyword research, link building, keyword ranking, site audits, etc. I imported keyword insights from Ahrefs, put them into Google Sheets, and connected Google Sheets as a data source in Looker Studio. And finally, I was available to get the required information for the dashboard. This project taught me the power of adaptability and problem-solving. Google Search Console is now officially broken. It's displaying incorrect data about queries and indexation which makes it useless unless you connect it to Looker Studio. 1. If you filter out a random non-existent query your click count will drop significantly, you will mostly be left with branded keywords, and those juicy non-branded keywords will be missing. 2. Filtering the query list does not work either. If you want to filter inside GSC you will see only a couple of queries for your filter. For me, it's showing only 2 keywords for a specific section, whereas in Looker Studio connected to the same GSC property, with the same filter applied, I see over 4,000. 3. Indexation data is incorrect. If you want to analyze indexed pages and filter by URL string, you will see only a fraction of the total number of indexed pages. For this purpose, it's better to use Google search operators Thanks Google for continually making our job harder.
