Egypt's hotel occupancy rate increased to over 80% in the first half of the year, up from 65% in H1 2022, according to a government official on July 26th. According to the official, Hurghada's hotel occupancy rate reached 100% in April, followed by Cairo's occupancy rate between 80% and 85%. The average overnight stay rate for inbound visitors was between 7 and 10 nights, with an average price of $100 per night, with European tourists constituting the most significant group using rooms in Egyptian hotels, accounting for more than 75% of all occupants, according to the official. 🌸 Accor drives premium brand growth in Europe and North Africa World leading group boasts impressive pipeline and ambitious plans to grow premium portfolio Accor, world leading hospitality group, is aiming for significant growth in its premium hotel portfolio across Europe and North Africa, with a robust pipeline across key brands including Pullman, Mövenpick and Swissôtel.    The group has signed 10 premium hotels across the region to date this year - six from Mövenpick, two from Pullman and two from Swissôtel - to take its premium pipeline to 46 properties totaling 7,360 rooms, all set to open by the end of 2027.    Accor’s premium growth will strengthen the group’s presence in the Mediterranean basin, with locations in historic cities and sun destinations alike. Reference:  Based on the results of 9 months of 2023, tourists from China took second place, this is 11.6% (47,619 people) of the total number of arrivals.  According to MasterCard, in the first half of this year, foreign passengers arriving in Almaty are expected to increase by 30% ((for 9 months. 2023 the number of tourists increased by 17.5% to 1.5 million people, including foreign tourists - 1.5 times to 409.4 thousand people).   Over the past 5 years, 12 hotels with 1,345 rooms, including world-class chain hotels, have been opened in Almaty. At present, 7 hotels and 15 hotels for 3.2 thousand rooms are under construction and design.

#Constanta With only one hotel affiliated to an international operator (Ramada – 176 apartments), the following three years will see three major inaugurations for two five-stars hotels (120 & 200 rooms) in Mamaia Nord and another four-star hotel with 75 rooms in Constanta, as the data gathered by RPC from the tourism consultancy company Est Hospitality shows. ✔️ 53% of the hotels are classified as 3 stars. ✔️ 43% of the hotel base is represented by "boutique" type hotels with less than 50 rooms. ✔️ 92% of the 3-star units (the ones with the highest request by Romanian and foreign tourists) are hotels with less than 50 rooms. ✔️ There is no 5-star hotel with more than 150 rooms. “Romania's accession to the Schengen area will have a significant impact on tourist circulation in the Constanta- Mamaia - Mamaia Nord areas and we will see many hotels that will be opened all year round”, Mircea Ioan DRAGHICI, Managing Partner, Est Hospitality said for RPC. #RomaniaPropertyClub #TourismInfrastructure #Constanta #EstHospitality
