Partnership Hunkemöller x Fanployer Hunkemöller and our founder Anne Jaakke and co-founder Donja van Laarhoven go way back! That's why this collaboration means a lot to us. Working together to set a new standard in Retail is our shared ambition. We kicked off this partnership in January to create a one-of-a-kind EVP (the heart of every successful employer branding strategy), a strong online presence, and a candidate experience that truly wows and will result in finding and retaining the right people for Hunkemöller. 🔍 The Challenge: Hunkemöller, like many retailers, need to pull all strings to hire and retain the best employees and stand out of the crowd, especially considering the different needs in retail, logistics, and HQ. 💪 The Solution: To overcome these challenges, we will work together in the upcoming year. We're kicking off this process by creating a new Employee Value Proposition (EVP). Throughout the year, we'll translate this new EVP into the different business segments and a candidate experience and employer brand that's different, unique, and true to their DNA. 🌟 NEW YEAR, SAME ME 🌟 Happy New Year Everyone! I’m literally cartwheeling in to the office this morning 😂😅 and ready to take on the year ahead, feeling super excited and pumped… but boy did I need that break 😮💨. I was bloody knackered and by the end felt I’d given all I could and more to 2023 so was super ready to take some time out and spend some quality time with my number one work motivator (see picture 🥰) and reason why I care so much when it comes to doing a good job. The role (linked below) is for a DEI Business Partner who will work most closely with two important brands under the Nike, Inc. banner: Jordan and Converse. You'll use data to help tailor the enterprise DEI strategy for each brand, advise on enterprise-level needs to effect systemic change, and use your influence skills to manage a number of cross-functional relationships with people and teams who have maaaany different priorities. Perhaps the best part of all? You'll get to work with me! Some logistics: This role is based on Beaverton at Nike WHQ (World Headquarters), and requires committing to complying with our Monday-Thursday on-site requirements. Because Converse is based in Boston, the role will also require regular travel to the East Coast. A note on the qualifications: I know from past experience that JDs generate lots of critique. Rightfully so. It's good to hold people accountable for individual and systemic bias that may emerge in these kinds of processes. Here's what I know: I have high standards for my team, and for this role. DEI work requires rigor, operational excellence, and passion. For this role, which is mid-career level, demonstrated experience will be important. What I *also* know is that demonstrated experience can look different from person to person. 🚀 Celebrating One Month of Innovation with Burberry's New HR Virtual Assistant! A month ago, we introduced an HR Virtual Assistant at Burberry designed to provide quick and accurate responses to our employees globally. Complemented by our fantastic live agents, we are delivering a luxury service that truly reflects Burberry's standards. 𝐈𝐧 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡: • Nearly 2,000 employees accessed the platform. • Achieved a positive feedback rating of 90%. • Employees are loving the efficiency, accurate responses, and the ability to resolve and understand queries without needing to raise a case. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: • Importance of Feedback and Engagement: Leading this project has shown me the crucial role of ongoing feedback and engagement. Regularly reviewing feedback, analysing conversations, and speaking with stakeholders globally has been vital to our success. • Continuous Improvement: The journey doesn't stop with the launch. The continued success of a Virtual Assistant means consistently asking questions, seeking feedback, and making enhancements. Collaborating with third-party companies has also provided valuable insights into best practices and common issue resolution. • Patience is Key: Achieving milestones takes time. While it's tempting to push for quick results, we dedicated 6 months to ensure Phase 1 of our project was a success. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐖𝐞'𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐞𝐧: • Increased employee engagement • Reduction in case volume • High percentage of return users • Positive feedback from employees and the business This is just the beginning. As we move towards a more AI-driven approach, there is so much more to learn, develop, and integrate for the benefit of all our employees. ⏪️A little more than one year ago, I had the great 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿. What happened? I signed my new contract with HUGO BOSS being on vacation in Sweden. And this year I am again traveling to Sweden and looking back on a year filled with lots of “lessons learned” and great surprises. ⚡️Back then, I had no expertise with regards to HR. Within my previous professional career I had made the experience of insufficient onboarding and how the process should not look like. 💪🏼This was probably the reason what made me eager to set a new standard for onboarding processes and become an expert myself. Was it easy to shift from my previous role as a Marketing Manager into the position of an Expert Global Employer Branding? 𝘕𝘖! 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭, 𝘯𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 😉 Was it worth it? 𝙔𝙀𝙎! ▶️Little did I know that I would moderate on stage with the CEO of HUGO BOSS and thrive a 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗼𝗳-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲. Branding, employer of the choice, employee, and ex-employee are distinct but mutually related to each other. Manufacturing company and its owner is trying to make a brand image with applying many types of strategies like broad differentiation strategy or best cost provider strategy and investing substantial amount of money to increase market share or become the market leader by attracting its customers and suppliers. But if its employees are not inclusive in the organization and if the company is not the dream place of work, the company shall not be able to sustain in the business generation after generation. Ex-employees, the brand ambassadors of past employers, might feel like returning to the workplace where they were empowered, valued, and inclusive. On the other hand, s/he is sufficient enough to shrink the brand flame if s/he left from the service with a bad experience and becomes a customer of the past employer. So, HR leaders or strategy makers should think again if they haven’t thought yet.
