Not to break out the journalese or anything, but the boss of Formula One’s entirely dominant team is currently embroiled in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, thanks to a mushrooming scandal that I have very little legal leeway in terms of being able to discuss fully here. It’s all very Keeping Up With the Carkrashians. Let’s just say that Horner was accused of controlling behaviour by a female Red Bull employee, was cleared last week by a resolutely opaque internal probe, only for a cache of messages said to be between the two to be leaked. (...) At last weekend’s grand prix, the season opener in Bahrain, footage emerged of Horner having an intense discussion with the arguably even ghastlier father of his unbeatable driver, world champion Max Verstappen, while his Spice Girl wife private-jetted in to kiss him for the cameras with the 1000-newton jaw clench of a wronged Tory wife. F1 is heading to the next human rights abusing petrostate this weekend – Saudi Arabia – just as a whistleblower tells the governing body that its own president intervened to overturn one driver’s penalty in that very race last year. (...) Before we go on, don’t worry remotely if you don’t watch either Formula One or Drive to Survive, because they’re incredibly easily explained (obviously I never miss either). Formula One is a sport in which the chief propulsive force is provided by something other than a human, to the point that alongside the competition for the individual drivers’ trophy, it runs a team title, which it calls the “constructors’ championship”. Races happen around the world, ideally in grim autocracies, and the same guy has won pretty much all of them for quite a long time now, and will probably win all of them this season, too. Can we talk about F1 for a sec? I mean, seriously, woke up hyped for some F1 action, and what do I see? Headlines reducing accomplished women to mere titles. Come on, folks, Queen Susie Wolff's actually Suzanne Wolff MBE is more than just a 'wife'—she's a F1 Academy, Director, for crying out loud. And let's not forget the OGs like Maria Teresa de Filippis and Lella Lombardi—these ladies were owning the track back in the day. Now, with names like Marta Garcia and Lena Buhler tearing up the F1 Academy, it's time to recognize the brilliance of women in motorsport. They've been here all along. Let's give credit where it's due. ❌"Wife of Formula 1 team boss launches legal action against sport's governing body." Firstly, her name is Queen Susie Wolff, you could also say Suzanne Wolff MBE. Secondly, if you want to specify her role in Formula 1, you could say: "Formula 1 Academy Director launches legal action against sport's governing body."

The 1976 F1 season ignited the worldwide popularity of Formula 1! The breathtaking battle between Niki Lauda and James Hunt is carved in history. Here is what I've learned from reading "Rush to Glory" by Tom Rubython: 🔥 When you think things can't get any worse, they will. But the same is true in reverse. 🚀 The road to success is many times paved with challenges, strong doubts and dark thoughts. Niki Lauda contemplated suicide at some point in his early career. 🏆 You never know who's watching you, so always give your best shot. Enzo Ferrari noticed Lauda's exceptional performance at Monaco Grand Prix in 1973, which set him on the path to greatness. 💪 Sometimes, all it takes is ONE person to believe in you. Here is a bit of my research. 🙇♂️ Would our keyboards today be round if the writing ball had been a success? In the 1860s, Rasmus Malling-Hansen invented the writing ball. Malling-Hansen was trained as a theologian, but worked as a teacher and superintendent at the Royal Institute for the Deaf and Dumb in Copenhagen. He discovered that you could communicate faster in sign language than with pen and ink, and got the idea to make a typewriter where you could use the fast hands. The keys on the writing ball were carefully positioned so that the fastest fingers could reach the most frequently used letters. The writing ball was not a commercial success, although it won several awards and was in many international exhibitions. The lack of success was probably due to Malling-Hansen lacking the means to get the writing ball out into the world. If the writing ball had become a commercial success, our keyboards might have looked different today. In the exhibition Smartphonemania at the Technical Museum of Denmark you can see three different versions of the writing ball. #skrivekugle #danmarkstekniskemuseum #smartphonemania #mallinghansen After that came the first old heavy iron model typewriters with the round keys, and the capital letters that were put on the keys were designed for use on his Invention Ball typewriter, to the first plastic model Commodore 64 where the keys on the keyboard were slightly more square which came in 1982 and it is still the same today, even if the keys have plenty of space on the key button today, it has NEVER BEEN LNDRED🙇♂️ No one thought to add the lowercase letters with the uppercase letters of the Latin alphabet on the keys. The visual impression of the standard keyboard has proven to be confusing for beginners. All keys have the same colors and contain only the uppercase letters, which the smallest children rarely use and see most of, from the children's books that parents read to the children in the first years. What a sporting weekend of resilience! 💪🏼😅 Did you catch England’s incredible Euro quarterfinal win yesterday? What about Lewis Hamilton rediscovering what “It’s Hammer Time!” feels like again with his record breaking British GP win in F1 today, after over 2 years since his last win and thinking he may not do so again! 🏆 Amazing to see how these sporting stars despite having all the resources still have dark times where despite all the talent sometime the difference between winning and losing is ‘how bad do you really want it?!’ These stars have been talking about how resilience was the key to their success as individuals and as a team.
