Social commitment is not just a buzzword, it's a responsibility that every successful company should take seriously. As Manuela Deverill, CEO of our company, rightly puts it, "We are steadfastly following our morals - because we actually care." At our company, we believe that social commitment is not just a checkbox to tick, but a way of life. We strive to make a positive impact on our society and environment with every decision we make. Because at the end of the day, it's not just about profits, it's about making a difference. #socialcommitment #corporatesocialresponsibility
Thank you to everyone who joined our charity event to support the Alzheimer Forschung Initiative. Your participation makes a difference! Special recognition goes to Tim Petzel for running an incredible 63.5 kilometers, and to Wencke Delekat for organizing a spring walk with care home residents in Stade, Germany. Your dedication and hard work are truly inspiring. Let's all follow Tim and Wencke's example and continue to make the world a better place, one step at a time. #charityevent #alzheimers

A group of Belizean children express thanks in unison in this video taken last month after receiving donated Flambeau products and toys. Twelve pallets of donated items arrived at a Belize port last month, destined for the non-profit organization, Project Jumpstart Belize. With the donation in-hand, a ceremony was held January 27 to highlight the commencement of disbursing items. Over 4,000 pounds of useful products include art supply containers, storage cases, toys, and other items appropriate for the Belize school children this non-profit benefits. Over 7,300 items were included in the donation, one of the largest ever received by the organization. Duncan Toys Company, which like Flambeau is a member of the Nordic Group of Companies, contributed a significant portion of the donated items. Anyone wanting to assist Project Jumpstart Belize in its efforts to reverse poverty in Belize and help tackle malnutrition, give access to technology, and provide sanitary products and other resources, should please visit https://lnkd.in/erx7Y_Yi.

Dilemma: you are a charitable person who enjoys giving but you’re also aware that many non-profit organizations have a public mission (eg, AI for the “common good”) and a secret mission (eg, to reduce the tax obligation of the parent company). Questions: - Which non-profits do you work for? - Which ones do you donate to? Solution: Ask Charity Navigator. Example usage: A charitable friend recently got an offer from Allen Institute for AI (AI2), which is owned and governed by Vulcan LLC, the company that runs the assets of the late Paul G. Allen. He went to Charity Navigator and pulled up the Allen Institute’s record, before calling me to ask for my opinion of AI2 (as a former employee). It was a long call in which I articulated a long list of strengths and weaknesses.

I have to share this post for two reasons. One is that I am a proud trustee for Humanimal Trust and really believe in One Medicine for humans and animals (watch the video - Noel explains it better). The second is that I know how many will appreciate how ridiculously cute Noel’s cat, Richochet, is! #onemedicine #humanimaltrust
Happy 10th Birthday Humanimal Trust!! Today, 6th May, we are celebrating our 10th birthday, the day our charity was founded by Professor Noel Fitzpatrick back in 2014. This day is now known as One Medicine Day. We want to thank each and every one of you for your support and dedication for the charity. You are all amazing! Without you we simply would not be here. Thank you from everyone here at Humanimal Trust.

What does your donation to Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) support? We use donations from the optometry community to provide grants to partner organizations for projects that address preventable blindness and vision impairment around the world. We fund projects that provide free- and low-cost vision exams and eyeglasses to meet the immediate need in areas where there is little to no access to eyecare. But we are also investing in long-term solutions by helping establish optometry schools in these areas, so that there are more optometrists available in underserved areas of the world. During the last year alone, OGS has funded 21 vision projects with 19 implementation partners. We’ve awarded over $930,000 in grants, and impacted more than 1.5 million individuals globally. Help us give the gift of sight to those in need. givingsight.org/donate

Are you reaching out to local businesses and entrepreneurs to top up your teams knowledge & skill base? Charities need to be more resourceful and make the most of the invaluable support that is out there. Home-Start Herts have found doing this invaluable - see below.
Thank you Martin Purvis for another fabulous and constructive coaching session for the Home-Start Hertfordshire leadership team. It has been 2 years now since Martin offered to support HSH. His guidance and advice over the years has been so valuable, and provides an opportunity for us to step back and work ‘on the business’ to strengthen and grow the organisation What we really appreciate is that whatever we bring to the sessions, he is always able to adapt and refocus the session to meet our needs. Thank you Martin for your ongoing support and also for supporting and donating to our urgent Appeal campaign helping us to be there for families. DONATE HERE: https://lnkd.in/ef4vtvis

Tech & Insights. Helpless foodie, coffee lover, and passionate linguist. Lvl 7 Google Maps Local Guide!
Hey my lovely LinkedIn Network, I can't believe I've surpassed $1,500 already, this was more than I would have hoped for! I want to thank everyone who has donated thus far. It has meant a lot to me and more importantly, it's helping improve the outcomes of thousands of Children worldwide (not just LA!). I'm shooting for $2,000 by July 21st (currently 83% of goal) and I know you can all help me reach it! We got 3 weeks to go until the big race, but it's never too late to make $1, $5, $10, or even $25 donation! Anything helps: https://lnkd.in/gu7cUwBj Last, but not least, I finally stacked my events together during my workouts, so these times include the collective pain & suffering. My biggest improvement has been swimming where I've seen almost 1:20 100m times. I believe simulating the actual race day along with open-ocean swims 2x per week will help me meet or exceed my benchmarks. Swim 750m: 15 minutes vs. 22 minute | Benchmark: 15 minutes Run 5K: 38 minutes vs. 32 previous | Benchmark: 30 minutes Bike 12K: 26 minutes vs. 28 previous | Benchmark: 40 minutes Overall: 79 minutes vs. 82 previous | Benchmark: 90 minutes Stay tuned for more updates!
