Our team is tackling the “interpretability problem”, helping us build safer AI. While it is well known that current widely used AI models lack interpretability, meaning we can’t understand why they made the decisions they do, we have until recently lacked a rigorous way of defining and assessing interpretability in machine learning. This is proving to be critical for the ethical deployment of AI in fields like medicine or finance. A small team within Quantinuum led by Stephen Clark, and including Ilyas Khan, KSG, has made a meaningful step forward in solving this problem, with the publication of a new paper that shows us how to properly and accurately determine the interpretability of various #AI models. Frazer-Nash's Ben Keith recently wrote an article, exploring Trustworthy AI: An operator’s view (but a systems-engineering approach). Ben said "A key tenet of successful AI is that of trust, and balancing the human/AI interface can be a tricky proposition. Understanding when and where to trust AI decisions is key to reaping the benefits it has to offer." The article also looks at finding calibrated trust and decision making at machine speed. 1 AI skilled expert unlocks path to 100 EU grants⭐Imagine the potential of AI-fied teams of researchers and grant writers⭐1000+ experts trained⭐Building AI tools
𝗜 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 to see if "Living guidelines on the responsible use of generative AI in research" are "made by humans.". ➡️ This AI tool says: "36% of this text is likely AI-generated." • Personally, I'm very cautios about AI detection. • It's not reliable and send the wrong message. Personally, I think, we need such "how to use AI" initiatives to help us all operate with peace of mind. In fact, I even teach my trainees on how to create in-house AI policy based on these guidelines. Because AI is here, already part of our professional NDA, whether we like it or not. SER Group's Dr John Bates discusses revaluating the Turing Test with TechDay Australia's Kaleah Salmon: he argues that we'd all benefit if we ceased hoping that our machine assistants are as intelligent as us, but that we focused on maximising their usefulness and efficiency, regardless of how they achieve it. https://shorturl.at/aOfkl #turingtest #AI #contentservices #ECM

We often believe in the superiority of algorithms and data-driven decision-making. But algorithms can be (and usually are) built on the fallible foundation of human cognitive processing. As a result, common biases can be built into the algorithms we use and this fact is often disregarded or diminished when we blindly celebrate AI, LLMs, and data models without question. #behavioralfinance #artificialintelligence #AI #llms

A recent report from the University of Cambridge emphasises the importance of harnessing generative AI systems to significantly benefit the British economy. The report highlights that the UK currently lacks the computational capacity and capital necessary to rapidly develop generative AI technology, which puts it at a competitive disadvantage compared to leading US companies like Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI.
