Frontend Developer | React | JavaScript | Typescript || Not looking for work || I like to build things
Sometimes you really just have to do what no one else is willing to do. This is the main message that I received from this weeks episode of the Self-Taught Devs podcast. This week, Eric Winkelspecht and I speak with Steven Sheaves who details his 4 year journey from the restaurant industry to software engineer. He discusses the projects he worked on, how he got experience without first having a job and what he did to stand out. A link to this weeks episode is in the comments How long did it take you to secure your first role as a developer? #softwaredevelopment #webdevelopment #softwareengineer

This was an excellent podcast!!! 2 amazing thought leaders in the Product Thinking. Be sure to check out the whole thing. Bottom line... we need to stop debating over which framework or methodology is THE way. There isn't a single best way of working, but we all have to start somewhere, so start, then reflect and adjust. Try new technologies, new tools, see what works and what doesn't in a variety of situations. THIS is the way to becoming a great Product Manager. .
Board Member | CEO | CEO Advisor | Author | Product Management Expert | Instructor | Designing product organizations for scalability.
On the latest Dear Melissa, I was joined by Teresa Torres to answer a question we got from a Product Thinking Podcast listener who was confused about how Continuous Discovery Habits and what I talk about in Escaping the Build Trap go together. We got into a good discussion on how new #ProductManagers learn frameworks, and become mature at process. Check out the entire discussion here and subscribe to the podcast: https://lnkd.in/grAcSHZC #productmanagement #methodology #frameworks #prodmgmt #discovery
