🎙 Podcast Alert 🎙 Some problems seem impossible to solve. And yet those are the challenges that most need our attention.   This week on Fixable legendary journalist Malcolm Gladwell gave us insight and inspiration on how to “fix the unfixable.” He delivered a masterclass on the power of storytelling and why the people most optimistic about a problem are often the ones who are closest to it.   It was the privilege of a lifetime to host him.   Thanks to all of our listeners for a fantastic season. We’ll be taking a short publishing break and be back in August with new episodes. In the meantime, we’ll be sharing some other podcast episodes we’ve loved in the feed.   Happy summer, everyone. I just listened to this episode. I’m a huge fan of Malcolm Gladwell, but what I want to share with you is not so much about Malcolm as this aha moment I had listening to you talk about seeing possibility even where others don’t. It goes so far beyond positivity… I realized that I am that person that will look for the crack or hint of light. Like you, I like to find solutions, and I stay hopeful. This reminded me of what I think is probably a superpower. I found myself feeling very light and uplifted, listening to you, knowing that you have this same sense of possibility and hopefulness, despite what may seem to be the opposite. So thank you for this. One thing I like to say is that possibility, even just a sliver of it is the road to probability. And if you continue down this path, it brings you to inevitability. ❤️🙏

Frances Frei Good old Thomas! I'm envisioning you turning up to a team and getting all these costumes out of a box and getting people to wear them and you say something like "so I've had a look around, and I'd like you to wear these whilst we sort things out. You three are clearly all Thomas the Tank Engine, you are most definitely the Karate Kid..." like the mechanicals scene in Midsomer Night's Dream. Which of course begs the question of what characters would you and Anne be?

Wow. Some of the best business thinking out there. Enjoy a well deserved break Prof. Frances Frei.

I really enjoyed this podcast. I really liked the reminder that we often can miss the simplest of solutions when we assume a complex problem needs a complex solution.
