At HackTech we managed to grow to a team of 75, just by referrals, without any sales processes. We built our sales team only 1 year ago, and I can tell you that traditional outreach is not working anymore...at least for us. You need to be creative, iteratively test different channels, and validate results. Instead of trying just to close a deal, you need to start giving value to the community and build a strong network and personal relationships. I think in the next 5 years traditional channels will stop working at all, especially with AI and generative text, people will just stop paying attention to the cold outreach, even the customized ones. #ai #generativeai #sales

I comment on & amplify others' posts each day. My GTM strategy. Sometimes, the convo spawns some nuggets to explore... I delivered a keynote last month entitled: AI vs. Humans. It wasn't a doomsday talk. It was on the importance of truly utilizing AI (tech) to improve your experience with the humans who are important to the growth of your business. (Read that again) If tech gives you more time back in your day - invest it in people. You know, the time you said you don't have because you're "busy". Could be yourself, your team, your prospects, your clients... Intentional training and coaching to develop their skills to reach their goals (and yours in the process) means you have more skilled team members using the tech you invested in. This is critical when reviewing your hiring process. (You should be doing that more frequently, btw) Shane Jamison and I are going to dig deeper on this topic next week.
