This achievement represents a €200 million investment. The LogisticCity, designed and realised together with TGW Logistics, is an essential step by Hoffmann Group towards digitalisation. 📦 Key Highlights: - Size and Scope: Sprawling across 21.5 hectares in southern Nuremberg, LogisticCity boasts an impressive 100,000 square meters of logistics space. All the while, making existing data actionable for thousands of simultaneous users internally or millions of external app users with defined response times on curated, trustworthy data is in many cases an unresolved issue. Despite general obstacles in the market, the traditional Koblenz-based company is expected to end the year with an increase in profits. The company is one of the largest trading groups in Germany and generated more than 1.16 billion euros in sales with the VW Group brands. The main reason for the increase is the increased vehicle prices. I'm excited to share this insightful visual support guide for the EMO Hannover with my U.S. colleagues. One notable distinction between U.S. exhibitions (like FABTECH Expo and IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show) and European events (such as EMO Hannover, HANNOVER MESSE, and Motek Messe) is the emphasis on #aftersales and #digitization. In the U.S., the spotlight is predominantly on the machinery itself. A leading laser machine manufacturer once explained: "In the U.S., attendees come to observe and purchase machines. They're keen to see equipment in operation, producing tangible results, and base their buying decisions on the visible capabilities." Conversely, in Europe, there's a heightened focus on #services. This is largely driven by the understanding that after-sales services contribute to approximately 25% of the annual revenue for machine tool manufacturers, often at higher profit margins (Source: McKinsey & Co's "Service transformation in manufacturing" - 2019). This service-oriented approach is unmistakably evident on European trade show floors.
