Completing the MBA program at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, was a fantastic experience with tremendous learning opportunities from top faculty and outstanding staff. I enjoyed working with many exceptional individuals. I was also delighted to serve as the Vice President of KIMWA (Kelley Indianapolis MBA Women Association) by organizing and participating in many events and working with the fantastic KIMWA board members. We are excited to announce a special issue on “5G and beyond technologies for vehicular applications” in the IEEE Open Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, edited by Prof. Claudia Campolo, Prof. Aaron Ding, Professor Peter Chong, and myself. This Special Issue encourages the submission of high-quality, innovative, and original contributions (both theory and practice) covering advances in the field of 5G and beyond technologies to enable vehicular applications. In addition, it welcomes survey papers scanning the relevant literature and ongoing research efforts and experimentations. Contributions for consideration in the Special Issue will include a paper proposed by Prof. Mehrdad Dianati (University of Warwick) and his team titled “Mobility Management for 5G millimetre wave V2X communications: A Survey and Outlook”.
