Hey all! I wanted to share a behind-the-scenes look at the wild journey of co-founding PhrenTech, a startup that's on a mission to revolutionize mental health care with virtual reality technology.
When my co-founder and I first had the idea for PhrenTech, we knew we were onto something big. We saw the staggering statistics about the mental health crisis among adolescents in particular and knew we had to take action. But little did we know just how challenging and exhilarating the startup journey would be!
In these early stages, every day is a new adventure. One moment, we're brainstorming game-changing features for our VR therapy platform. The next, we're grappling with the intricacies of building a HIPAA-compliant system. We're learning on the fly, wearing multiple hats, and fueled by a shared passion for using technology to make a difference.
One of the most exciting milestones so far has been building out our incredible team of advisors. We're thrilled to have leading experts in psychology, VR development, and business strategy on board. Their guidance has been invaluable as we navigate the complexities of the mental health and tech landscape.
Another thrilling development has been our acceptance into the Collision Conference Alpha Startup Program! We can't wait to showcase our vision on a global stage and connect with potential partners and investors who share our mission.
But amidst the highs, there have also been challenges. Fundraising as a mental health startup in a post-pandemic world is no small feat. We're learning to articulate our value proposition in a way that resonates with investors and to showcase the immense potential of VR therapy.
Through it all, what keeps us going is the knowledge that we have the opportunity to make a real impact. Every time we speak to someone in the practitioners space who is excited about our solution, it fuels our determination to keep pushing forward.
We know we have a long way to go, but we're in it for the long haul. We're committed to building a company that not only delivers cutting-edge VR therapy but also sparks a larger conversation about prioritizing mental well-being.
