Need to include zero growth in over 25 years! A stock price going from 60 dollars down to less than 28 dollars in one year which is the same as it was over 25 years! A dismal job considering all the profits pfizer has generated over decades especially over the covid period. It will be interesting to see what the compensation and bonuses will be for all these executives/ceo this year!Embarrassing! When comparing to Eli Lilly over the years. How is it possible that we failed in developing a weight drug in-house and furthermore not buy a company or make an agreement to co-develop a weight drug. Where is the accountability! It should start at the top not from the hard working scientists that have lost their jobs in the last 1-2 years. Please, stop sugar coating and talk/post more about what you are doing to create growth and WHY we are not seeing growth with all these figures and accomplishments that are posted year after year?

M&A - first 2024 half saw an increased level of M&A transactions which was welcome by the biotech ecosystem. I took the opportunity of the first holiday days to dive again into this book. It reminded me that identifying key values drivers is not enough for successful M&A. The secret resides in identifying business dilemmas and what makes unique each organization. By reconciling those dilemmas, sustainable values drivers for the new entity will arise and need to be included in the business case. To do so, the ability to go beyond financial projections is a skill needed to those who want to dance the M&A tango. The reading reminded me the Ferring Rebiotix M&A with an aspirational leader inviting all of us in the project to focus on differences. A must read book!
