April is IBS awareness month, and we’re using this time to reinforce the importance of education in making an impact for patients. Since 2021, the more than 51,300 clinicians that participated in our education went on to impact the lives of 254,000 patients living with IBS. The Act4Biosimilars Steering Committee is addressing barriers to access and biosimilar adoption and seeks to increase the global adoption of biosimilars by at least 30 percentage points in 30+ countries by 2030. What is the impact of including patient partners in health research? This article from a project in #NewBrunswick is an excellent example of patient-oriented research: "Patient partners engaged in the research helped Dr. Goodine realize that discharge was not the right time to overwhelm patients by teaching them about their medications. The research has now shifted to look at what information pharmacists need to share with patients, how, and when."
