This demonstrates Worley's services' quality and reliability and commitment to providing top-notch engineering solutions. Undoubtedly, Worley will continue to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional results to Aramco. Worley has renewed its five-year GES+ contract with Aramco General Engineering Services to provide project management and engineering services. It includes various gas, oil, and energy infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The company will prioritize local talent development and in-kingdom engineering capabilities. Also, Chris Ashton, Worley CEO, expressed his pleasure in continuing the long-term relationship with Aramco and expanding Worley. Aramco and Worley's five-year contract renewal with the potential for extension was announced in Year 1. The company has committed to deliver project management and engineering services to support Aramco's capital programs in Saudi Arabia. In Year 2, Worley focused on developing local talent and in-kingdom engineering capabilities. The company emphasized sustainability and aligned its work with Worley's definition of sustainability-related work. Year 3 saw progress in building in-Kingdom capabilities, with Worley engaging in various projects across gas and oil. Moreover, Continued collaboration between Aramco and Worley in delivering successful projects was evident in Year 4, as Worley expanded its presence and expertise within Saudi Arabia. In Year 5, the contract's performance was evaluated, emphasising demonstrating value creation over the contract's duration. The potential for extension was also considered. WorleyParsons' involvement in Saudi Aramco's Maintain Potential Programme (MPP) is a crucial feature of the project. Since 2003, WorleyParsons has been executing the MPP, delivering significant infrastructure, including platforms, pipelines, and well hook-ups. The project involves 350 personnel, mainly engineers, working in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. WorleyParsons' extension underscores its continued involvement in crucial maintenance work for Aramco's offshore facilities. The overall impact of this project highlights the company's commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions to its clients.

Balfour Beatty and Costain are among a clutch of contractors to have secured work on Teesside to build the world’s first gas-fired power station with carbon capture. Clients Net Zero Teesside Power and the Northern Endurance Partnership have selected contractors for engineering, procurement, and construction contracts with a combined value of around £4bn. Nine leading specialist contractors will share eight contract packages subject to a final investment decision due to be taken before September. Balfour Beatty is main construction partner to deliver the combined-cycle power station, integrated with carbon capture plant. It will utilise modular construction techniques to build the M&E equipment and plant rooms off-site, in a controlled factory setting. Costain will oversee and manage the engineering procurement and construction of the onshore CO2 gathering system serving the East Coast Cluster of industrial companies. The projects present a big opportunity for the UK supply chain. Selected contractors will continue working with the local and regional supply chain, with further engagement taking place over the coming weeks and months. Ian Hunter, Managing Director, Net Zero Teesside Power, said: “The selection of contractors is a major step forward for Net Zero Teesside Power. We have selected world-class partners who have the experience and capability needed to deliver. We aim to take final investment decision in September 2024 or before, after which we’d look forward to working with our EPC partners through the construction phase”. Contractor wanted for £170M marine works at Immingham Green Energy Terminal Associated British Ports (ABP) has started procurement for a contractor for the marine works at the proposed Immingham Green Energy Terminal (IGET) in a contract worth £140M to £170M. The IGET will support the import of green ammonia (NH3) from Neom in Saudi Arabia and the import of carbon dioxide (CO2). It will cover an area of approximately 102.52ha at the Port of Immingham on the banks of the Humber in Lincolnshire. The project has been designated as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project. The plan has already been through two statutory consultations and has been accepted by the Planning Inspectorate for examination. ABP is responsible for the development and operation of the marine facilities to meet the infrastructure needs at IGET. While IGET has not yet had the green light for development, ABP has started the hunt for a lead contractor or consortium to carry out the marine works. On the marine side, the construction will comprise a jetty consisting of an approach trestle approximately 1.2km long. This will lead to a single berth including a loading platform and berthing and mooring dolphins with link walkways. There will be topside infrastructure on the jetty for handling of bulk liquids including loading arms and pipelines. ABP says the construction can be broken down into the following areas: ~Jetty structure: an open piled jetty approach trestle, approximately 1.1km of deck on (up to 219) 1.2m steel tubular piles ~Jetty berth: the single berth is comprised of a loading platform, two breasting dolphins and eight mooring dolphins with associated fenders and walkways ~The jetty head would involve the installation of (up to 178) 1.5m diameter piles to support the jetty head structures and two monopiles (maximum diameter 2.3m) to provide fendering suitable for small vessels ~Dredging of the required area: A capital dredge of approximately 4,000m3 (based on the latest available site-specific geotechnical and geophysical information) ~The construction of lighting infrastructure, utilities (electrical systems, firewater systems including pumps and pipework, communications systems, security systems) and drainage ~New access road: a corridor between the new jetty and Laporte Road which would support a jetty access road, a jetty access ramp, pipe-racks, as well as security gates and buildings, a power distribution building and associated utilities Parties have until 5pm on 30 November to express interest in the works. https://lnkd.in/etxd5sDD #maritimeconnection #marine #engineering #construction #smes
