After more tweaking and update Open SSL, new MariaDB connection library,we managed to remove couple milliseconds. Using the smallest possible instance t4g.small ARM 64. Graviton 3 2 Core ARM CPU 2 GiB Memory total Right now our Transaction Engine run time is 63ms per transaction, where 47ms is waiting for Acquiring bank communication and 8ms require for MariaDB SQL procedure. Given that result, Transaction Engine itself requires only 18ms, to process online transaction. Amazing result. It is proof that ARM Architecture is fully capable to be used for Payment Processing. Moving Engine to Ampere Ultra with 128 cores or Ampere One with 192 cores, will further speed up the process.

Searching for perf regressions in MyRocks on a small server with the Insert Benchmark * Modern MyRocks uses RocksDB 8.5.0 and classic MyRocks uses RocksDB 6.19 * Modern MyRocks gets ~5% less throughput on read-intensive benchmark steps because there is new CPU overhead * Modern MyRocks gets ~3% less throughput on write-intensive benchmark steps because there is new CPU overhead * Modern MyRocks has ~10% less write-amplification https://lnkd.in/gadB_GJa

A MILE A MINUTE - 'library cache: mutex X' Waits Library cache is a memory area that holds parsed SQLs to be executed. Mutex is a mechanism to control access in memory structures. There are many reasons including application issues and high version counts. Library cache and mutex wait event may be occurred when OS CPU/memory starvation as well. Reasons ====== 1. Frequent Hard Parses 2. High version counts 3. Known Bugs Check these ======== 1. increase in load 2. change in Application,OS and Middle tier Where can see ========== In AWR reports a. wait event statistics b. Load Profile - Parses value c. Library Cache Activity - SQL Area if the database hangs due to Heavy Contention Restart the database or Kill the process associated with the pseudo-sid ( identify from V$ACTIVE_SESSION_HISTORY)

#vmwareesxi7 #esxi7 The issue persisted, where only old disks were displayed in the "Storage Devices" section, and the new 2TB HDD with a GPT file system did not appear in the host terminal. To resolve the problem, the following steps were taken: Remove volumes from the disk (ensure to backup important data as it will be erased). 1.5. Convert the disk to GPT if it was in MBR format. Create a new volume with the following parameters: NTFS format, 2 MB cluster size, name in Latin characters. Following these procedures, the disk promptly became functional within the system. 😀

Title: Understanding Master Boot Record (MBR) vs. GUID Partition Table (GPT) for Efficient Storage Management 🖥💽 Are you grappling with the decision between Master Boot Record (MBR) and GUID Partition Table (GPT) for your computer's storage system? Let's break down the key differences and considerations to help you make an informed choice. 🔍 *MBR*, the tried and tested partitioning scheme dating back to the 1980s: - Boasts compatibility with older systems and a straightforward setup. - However, its limitations on partition size and number may pose challenges for modern computing needs. 💡 *GPT*, on the other hand, offers a modern alternative: - Support for larger partition sizes and an increased number of partitions. - Focus on data redundancy and integrity, making it ideal for high-capacity drives and critical data storage. ⚖ But before you decide: - Consider factors such as system age, firmware type (BIOS or UEFI), storage requirements, and operating system compatibility. - While GPT offers advanced features, compatibility with legacy systems and certain software may be a concern. 💻 Ultimately, the choice between MBR and GPT depends on your specific setup and requirements. Evaluating the trade-offs will ensure compatibility, maximize storage capacity, and effectively meet your partitioning needs. #StorageManagement #MBR #GPT #PartitioningScheme #DataIntegrity #UEFI #Compatibility #TechTips #PenguinPower #Linux 🛠📊
