Pantone isn't just a color system. It's a money-making machine.
What gives Pantone this power? It's all in the way colors communicate, reaching beyond the eyes to touch emotions and influence decisions. With Pantone’s accuracy, your designs do more than stand out—they transform casual viewers into loyal customers.
And this transformative journey from visual appeal to undeniable impact is just a part of the story.
Join us as we dive deeper into the heart of Pantone's influence:
👉 That "aha" moment with faded Kodak film boxes that showed us why color consistency is king.

Hey Sis,
Isn’t it funny how some habits serve you well and others—not so much? In today’s episode, you will discover what a capsule wardrobe is and how it has been a game-changer for me.
Getting dressed has never been easier and stress-free. Well, that’s the concept behind a capsule wardrobe collection. Your time is too valuable to waste trying to figure out, once again, what you should wear. This practice will be a life saver, time saver, and it’s a money saver”.
When you think about it, everything begins small-- countries, cities, and even corporations. Why not build yourself a capsule wardrobe?
Zechariah 4:10 tells us do not despise small beginnings.
I pray this inspires you!
Xoxo, Cynthia

Why my fashion brand is the fastest-growing company I have ever founded.
You see a lot of carnage in the world of fashion startups, so I thought I would share the story of one that is going quite well. This is the first of a few posts where I'll share my take-aways. Follow me (and follow Y.Chroma) to see more, and thanks to my pal Dimitris Bountolos for encouraging me to post this.
Last spring I went live with Y.Chroma Apparel, an approachable luxury men's fashion brand I founded which is focused obsessively on men of my generation. (I define that as Gen-X'ers and a big swathe of your younger Boomers.) Video below...
It is growing rapidly - and profitably, enjoys a growing base of deeply connected and devoted customers, and provides a fulfilling place for its employees. (And for me.)
1. Knowing your market both statistically and emotionally helps guide product-market fit.
My thesis was that among the 60 million men in my customer group (US+Europe), a significant number wake up every morning and regard the contents of their closets with a total absence of joy. They wish to fix this but have no idea how. Although statistics show that they are glad to buy online, the fashion industry neither vigorously markets to them nor sells to them in the way they prefer to buy.
I understand this pain point because I am a 52-year-old man, and because I spent some years discussing the pain point with other men of my vintage.
While I did add to this a thick layer of economic, consumer behaviour, competitor set and behavioural science research to understand the numbers of my case, my intuitive feel for the customer comes from a lot of very frank over-beer discussions about what hurts. Beer discussions are irreplaceable.
2. Apparel is no harder than any other business, and facing those challenges looks a lot like a lot of other businesses
Apparel has all kind of complexity -- just like any other industry. That's why I spent I spent nearly a year in the independent consulting ecosystem before I produced a single garment. Consultants market by publishing books and video content, and those serve the dual role of helping you get smart and identify potential collaborators. A bit of money spent buying these consultants' time is a very good investment.
Invest money in working with experienced people. To some extent, this phase is speed dating. Not every relationship will turn into a working relationship, and that is totally fine. In my case, these relationship chains eventually lead me to people who have both the expertise and a belief in the as-yet-unreleased Y.Chroma project. Without them we would not have been able to launch a world-class product.

3. Fashion requires investment -- but it can be a good investment when you look at it this way...
4. A fashion business doesn't sell clothes
5. Which metrics matter

Have you heard about The Race Card Project? Researchers placed cards in different places around the world. The cards contained these words:
Race. Indentity.
Your thoughts.
6-words.
Please send.
Today's episode of "Fresh Air" on NPR features an interview with Michele Norris, a host of "All Things Considered" and creator of The Race Card Project. You can listen to the interview here: https://lnkd.in/eAXCXBeM
"I'm wondering what my six words would be. What about you? What six words would you offer?
Decorated apparel for your company is a must-have for so many reasons. Uniforms create a sense of unity and make employees easily identifiable to customers. Giveaway t-shirts are a favorite swag item and, if designed well, spread your company name far and wide. Customers who love your products or services will happily purchase trendy retail items to support your business and display their pride.
Custom clothing and apparel are easy to order. It’s simply a matter of deciding how best to communicate your company brand through various apparel applications.
If you've ever wondered how custom apparel is created, we continue highlighting the creative process from idea to final product. Check this out from Sharprint.

A refreshing take on design from Solomon Renfro! It was fun for me to think about shoe design 👟 and how it plays an impact on our day-to-day lives and how we want to show ourselves to others.
I appreciated Solomon's take on designing for someone in specific, and then people who want that kind of product or style will be attracted to it. Too often in our day and age, products "serve everyone". If your product caters to everybody, it caters to nobody. Good design has character.
