My PSA for the day...for interns. If you are starting an internship at a manufacturing or really any company out there please wear proper shoes. Flip flop/slides are NOT appropiate shoes. This is especially true if you are in a manufacturing site. I get that you are only there for the summer, but accidents can happen and appropiate footwear can save you from injury. If you see one such intern, please pull them aside and speak to them confidentially. I had to do this once with our department intern. It turns out that the flip flop were the nicest shoes this person owned and they were trying to look professional as best as they could. I gave them some ideas of where to go to get some cheap items. They were very thankful for the confidential conversation and ideas. The following week they were dressed appropiately for the office. The company manufactures and distributes a variety of footwear like Running Shoes, Walking Shoes, Casual Shoes, Floaters, Slippers, Flip Flops, and Sandals, available in multiple colors, styles, and at affordable prices. ❖Major key take aways :- 1. Expenses high - Advertising in FY-22 is 744.60 million and in FY-23 is 923.03. Digital advertising in FY-22 is 211.07 million and in FY-23 is 413.66. 2. Average selling price increases due to which revenue also increases but EBITDA & PAT does not increase due to lower margins. 3. Volume sold is stable as compared to previous year. 4. Net debt reduced from the previous year 173.9 in FY-22 to 156.8 in FY-23 5. Sales growth rate is 24.28% from the previous year and Expense growth rate is 29.44% 6. Major increase in these costs:- Depreciation Finance cost Allowance for expected credit loss Provision for inventory 7. Due to the above things EBIT (3.1%) and PBT (8.7%) are growing negatively. 8. One of my students from DesignerShala studying at FIT New York just reached out. She’s in her third year of college and needs to do an internship back home. But most luxury brands are rejecting her even after her having an incredible work portfolio. It’s because her summer internship requires her to have 5-6 garments. We’re in 2024. And yet I see multiple design schools asking students to get “5-6 garments” to prove that they’ve done an internship with a fashion brand. This is a hazard for design innovation and needs to stop. Here’s why: 1. MOST couture or luxury brands will NOT allow you to carry 6 couture pieces to your college for jury. This eliminates a LOT of incredible brands for design students to intern at! Especially kids who really want to work in luxury! 2. ONLY retail giants and mass production brands with zero innovation allow internships which require 5-6 ensemble because let’s be honest, one piece costs them barely ₹250-300. So even if a design student has NO aspiration to work in retail, and make shirts and pants, they are forced to do so none the less. We MUST encourage kids to work at the best companies that THEY are interested in. And there’s better ways of judging a student’s work during the tenure of their internship than actual physical garments! Design education needs a reform in our country. BIG time. What are your thoughts?

From the Captain’s logbook:   Like every year, during 2023 we welcomed many students to the Company through morning meetings but also by offering more structured activities, such as our annual collaboration with High Schools and Universities, but also with company internships.   What is our purpose and mission? To give them information, to guide and train them, and stimulate commitment.   In company balance sheets we usually look at the numbers: about 60 students from Middle Schools, 30 kids from High Schools and Internships with ITS (Post-diploma schools), etc.   Today, however, I prefer to talk about some memories that have left a deep imprint in my mind, even after many months:    1) The serenity, seriousness, punctuality, desire to learn and the sense of gratitude of the two girls doing the internship from the Istituto Montagna of Vicenza, who have completed their training in pattern making and prototyping. The biscuits for 60 people made at night directly by them and the open letter written from the heart; the T-Shirt designed by them, on which they asked for signatures in memory of all the people they met and knew. What arises spontaneously with no other purpose, is so precious.   2) Some answers received from the third grade students of the Creazzo and Malo Middle Schools impressed me, because they weren't what I expected: with the aim of interesting them, the strategy used was to show them some images of famous people (VIPs) for whom we had created tailor-made garments, and then we got the kids to reflect on the luxury products and brands they knew. Mainly bags and shoes for girls and clothing and shoes for boys. The brands mentioned were Nike, Scout, Pull&Bear, which they thought of as luxury brands, but which after a guided discussion, the brands began to transform into names which are more specifically in the luxury sector, such as Gucci, Prada, Versace, Dior.    3) The image of a sweet girl, hired for a temporary contract, full of dreams and hopes, which I helped to cultivate/guide/mentor?? but for whom I will certainly have represented a tough school of life. She chose this profession following my presentation of the company and its work in the fashion sector, which I had made years earlier at his school, but only realised later. The sense of uncertainty between the happiness of having helped someone in their choices and the worry about the responsibility this entailed, above all because in the end I decided that, in my opinion, she wasn’t suitable for this sector.   In 2024 we will repeat and increase the activities, waiting for the end of the year and the new balance of memories.

Rating update : long term facility reduced from 127.19 cr to 123.88 cr (Care BBB+). Short term bank facility reduced from 58.50 cr to 42.50 cr (Care A2) 2. The ratings for liberty shoes ltd were placed on a rating watch with developing implications due to dispute among promoters resulting in the removal of Mr. Adesh Gupta as the CEO. 3. Improved operational performance in FY-23 & H1 FY-24 With a significant turnover growth. 4. From the last 4 years EBITDA margins are stable. 5. Previous year PBT margins were .82% and in FY-23 it is 2.73% 6. ROE is increased from the previous year 1.19% to 6.51% and ROA is increased from 0.52% to 2.74% in FY-23 7. Revenue Growth - achieved remarkable financial performance during the fiscal year ending 31 march 23 - revenue reaching pre pandemic levels. 8. The company reported its highest ever operating profits, indicating efficient management & utilization of resources. 9.
