We’re excited to share that Architectural Digest featured Maxon Studio on their latest episode of Unique Spaces! Maxon Studio, a mobile creative studio in rural Washington, was led by design principal Tom Kundig, FAIA, RIBA, and client/contractor Lou Maxon. The two-story steel tower is mounted on a 15-foot-gauge railroad track and transitions from nested extension of the home to a detached work space. "You use the tools on your toolbelt to come up with a solution and sometimes even invention," Tom shared. “Invention is a very exciting moment when it happens, but you don't go looking for an invention for the sake of a new idea."
