If this year's MET Gala has shown me anything... It's how far technology has advanced. 🤔 Weird take on an event that, at its core, celebrates fashion and fashion icons. But it was interesting (and somewhat scary) to see those super realistic deep fakes of celebrities emerge. I mean, there were pictures of Rhianna, Katy Perry, and Selena Gomez, even though none of them were in attendance (Katy Perry even shared the message exchange between herself and her mother, who complimented her on her dress... which the singer didn't wear). I couldn't help but reflect on how fast technology progresses. It does make you think about the future of many creative professions. But that's technology overall, isn't it? Years ago, that's exactly how we felt about computers. Then it was the internet. Then it was smartphones. (🫴 Insert any groundbreaking device, piece of software, etc.) And I don't know about you, but phones and computers have become super integrated into my daily life — especially when it comes to work. Of course, just like with anything in life, we need to be careful with how we use all those technological advancements. There will always be ways to misuse anything that is put out in the world, just like there is the potential to do incredible and good things with it. I'd love to hear your thoughts on AI and modern technology in general. Do you think it will have a positive or rather negative impact on the workforce and creative spaces (such as the fashion industry)?
