As a financial inclusion advocate, I believe financial exclusion comes in different phases. All these options serve different purposes for different phases of financial exclusion. But, if we are looking at the most critical then we are referring to the unbanked and underserved. Futher localizing Financial services and an increased effort towards financial literacy would help Nigeria achieve it’s 2024 goals on Financial inclusion and I think they are the main drivers of financial inclusion. Then simplifying identity verification and increase in financial service digitalization can follow concurrently.
