In hindsight, what I was trying to say in this clip is: Business Decisions = Data + Experience + Gut. Data is only 1/3. By ascribing outsized weight to it, far from becoming data-driven, organizations wind up giving themselves analysis paralysis. This also turns insights and marketing crews from being students of consumer and bold demand creators into painters-by-numbers.

Since it is The Clorox Company 111th anniversary, I'll share about my personal top 3 products: #1 - ✏ Burt's Bees Eyeliner Pencil in Warm Brown. As decidedly not a morning person, I can recall only two good things ever happening to me before 10am: Coffee and Burt's Bees Eyeliner. They go well together. #2 - 🥥 How to get kids to clean? Scentiva Wipes. "basically smells like coconut and so satisfying to watch floor drying". Can't pretend I understand GenAlpha pastime preferences, but I'll take a clean bathroom. #3 - 🥛 So I admit it hadn't occurred to me to have a water filter till acquiring a coffee machine that would only take filtered water. But now that we have Brita, we use it for everything. (Except maybe watering the 🐈 - goodness knows where that oddball creature hydrates, but it's not from his designated water bowl.) On the go Brita bottles are great for travel, too. What product is bringing you joy right now?

When you are at Insights Association annual conference and Atlanta happens to be in the path of 85% of totality. But you have to run and co-chair a track at the peak. And you don’t have proper equipment to capture the memento 😂🤦♀️ But conference content here is widely expected to eclipse the natural phenomenon, so no regrets!
