James says “Firstly I need to say there really is no such thing as a typical day for a commissioning engineer, one of the many reasons the job role is so rewarding and interesting". Commissioning Engineers contribute significantly to maintaining reliable electricity transmission systems, safeguarding assets, and meeting customer demands. Typical activities include Project Delivery and Maintenance, Fault Investigation and Rectification, Commercial Focus, Safety and Compliance, Supervision and Efficiency. Today, the Netherlands is a front-runner in providing cost-efficient #offshore wind power. With the completion of the '2023 roadmap', 3.5 gigawatts of wind power has been achieved step by step 💪   To further increase the supply of #sustainable energy, and help make green wind energy from the North Sea scalable and more cost-efficient, TenneT TSO B.V. introduced the ‘𝟮𝗚𝗪 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺’ in 2023. A new standardised platform, a new certified cable system, higher transmission capacity: all this with the least possible impact on the environment. New statistics from Australia’s Clean Energy Regulator show that 2023 could be another record year for distributed solar. Australia's Clean Energy Regulator said in a recently published report that utility-scale PV deployment is sluggish due to a range of challenges, including rising costs, global competition, and regulatory issues. Rooftop solar installations have been a bright spot, with almost 160,000 systems installed in the first half of the year. This trend suggests that 2023 could surpass Australia's previous record of 3.2 GW in total capacity for rooftop solar installations. “The increased capacity saw the share of renewable electricity rise to over 36% of demand in the National Electricity Market.
