Elinkeinoelämän keskusliitto EK – Confederation of Finnish Industries has published an article where our CEO Marko Nylund is sharing insights into how Prevex is proactively addressing the heightened sustainability requirements within the supply chain. Marko is a member of the sustainability team at EK. One of the recommendations he imparts is the necessity of initiating a company's sustainability initiatives promptly, rather than solely responding reactively to external demands. Central to achieving success is also the integration of sustainability into the core business strategy, rather than treating it as a separate entity. The whole article, in Finnish, can be read here 👇 #Prevex #allaboutwatertraps #EK #sustainability

In any organization, value can be generated by members' coordination and as we do that, we start to account for the whole more than for the individual parts. In this way, actors start building their own value models around creating value for the network. That way we realize a new alignment of incentives and value flows: we shift the incentives up from the parts to the whole. That's the power of alignment and creating a shared vision. 🗺 Don't forget to follow the Si Copenhagen hub right here: bit.ly/sicopenhagenhub

Hochland Romania obtained the "Great Place to Work" certificate, confirming the company as one of the most appreciated local employers, following the distinction granted in August 2023 by the global research company Great Place to Work®. The certificate was obtained after a rigorous assessment process performed in the first part of 2023. For this process, over 400 employees of Hochland Romania were invited to take part in an anonymous questionnaire, which assessed three essential factors that define a stable, healthy, and employee-valued workplace: trust in the management team; pride related to the membership within the Hochland company and the satisfaction to work in a friendly work environment. According to the results of this study, 81% of the employees have assessed Hochland România as being an excellent workplace and validated indicators such as credibility, respect, correctness, pride, and collegiality. A full article about this succes can be found here: https://lnkd.in/drHGNurg

Attending MAICSA's talk on 'Transforming Culture Towards Sustaining Corporate Consciousness' by Maheswari Kanniah was an eye-opener. The talk highlighted how a company's culture can influence its sustainability. One of the most interesting examples was how Singapore tackled corruption by holding the top-level accountable instead of punishing the bottom. Another inspiring story was the Johnson&Johnson case, where the employees prioritized customer safety over authority's instructions. These stories illustrate how a great culture can shape a company's sustainability. #CorporateCulture #Sustainability #LeadershipLessons

Board & Committee Chairman & Member | Global Business Growth Strategy and Communications | Organizational & Performance Development | Transformation & Digitalization | M&A | Governance | EVP/COO/Managing Director
I wrote a blog about sustainable value creation with the help of AI, from the perspective of a board director. It is in Finnish, here, to summarize, my five tips in English: 1. Help and encourage management to define how AI is or could be utilized in business today. Don't accept the answer "we thought we'd think about it in the next fiscal year" but encourage management to act quickly – and so do competitors. 2. Map the risks related to the use of artificial intelligence, for example from the perspective of information security and protection, and ensure that your organization's ICT competence is at a sufficient level. Risk assessment can also be carried out more broadly by considering the impact it will have if artificial intelligence is *not* utilized in an organization's business. 3. Evaluate the use of artificial intelligence also from the perspective of sustainability. Think about how you will together take into account key sustainability factors in the use of artificial intelligence, such as inclusivity. AI can unintentionally increase discrimination if it does not understand the context (for example, company values and sustainability policy). 4. Remember that AI regulation is evolving, and it is important that the board and management monitor the development and anticipate its potential impacts. This is one of the key reasons to think in advance, for example, about the sustainable implementation of artificial intelligence both in your own operations and as part of products and solutions, so that your organization is not surprised by possible tightening of regulation. 5. Remember that AI solutions are evolving all the time. So, keep track of industry developments and make sure your scenarios, strategy, and risk assessment are updated often enough to be more prepared as the opportunities offered by AI continue to expand.
Hallitusammattilainen – kannusta organisaatiotasi vastuulliseen arvonluontiin tekoälyn avulla! Anna Lindén kirjoitti #DFIblogi´in tekoälystä hallitustyön näkökulmasta. > Organisaatioiden on käytännössä kuitenkin pakko edistää valmiuttaan tekoälyn hyödyntämiseen.

Priorities vs. The Unifying Force. People safety isn't a priority. And if so, I wonder whether it became one more item in your long list of the so called "priorities". One day is on top of the list, the next one is within the top 5 and what was a priority one day, becomes the regret of someone else a day after. - a.k.a. someone didn't make it safely back home. Unlike priorities, Culture unites communities around ways of behaving, common understandings and societal dynamics. And that is why, safety at #Sodexo is not an initiative, action or trend, is part of the culture. The Unifying Force. We just came back from Penang, the last stop over of our Safety Roadshow that has taken us to meet face to face every unit manager across Singapore and Malaysia. Not once we said that safety is important because there wasn't a need. We all know what our culture and purpose aims and our unifying force is not how far up in the list safety is but how we can empower, engage and enable safety for ourselves and for our people and consumers. #Peoplestories #StoriesofSodexo #Sodexopeople #Safetyculture #Corporateculture #Corporatepurpose Bajirao NAWALE (he/him/his) Jaspreet Kaur James Liauw Lionel Leong Jordan Lai Justin Yu Judy Pang Sarah Teo Claire-Marine Varin

Last week at #BreakbulkEurope I had the pleasure of (re-)connecting with so many people, this time showing the “tremendo” developments of PTP Group Logistics in #Cadiz, #Rotterdam and #LATAM. The picture shows just a couple of the amazing friends in industry. In the coming week I will contact all of you to inform you about the latest news and for now, a couple of take-always from last week: #BreakbulkEurope is one of the largest industry events for shipowners, terminals, charterers and shipping companies. Long term #relationships matter. #Innovation is key in the industry; with new technologies and as cargo! The whole chain needs to be involved to make the most #sustainable and optimal flow of goods. #Talent is on the rise - young professionals are multiplied each fair - so good to see more and more talented people (man ánd women) finding their way into our sector.

Different cultures but only #One Mission. The last two days we have the opportunity to get together in Zaragoza with our colleagues, the heads of HR from the main sites from #Sese in the America’s, Europe and our HR corporate Team. Attract the best people, to develop them, create high performance teams, and to build and excellent environment to work, is a Key Value in #Sese. During this two journeys we have aligned our policies and learned from the best practices our colleagues. #20 countries, but only One Mission in HR.
