Congratulations to our founder and CEO Jensen Huang for his recognition on the #TIME100 Most Influential People of 2024. Read the TIME tribute by Mark Zuckerberg.
I have used your products for decades and always admired nVidia. Your support and compatibility is second to none. Your quality and value are supurb.
You earned my trust in 1998 with my first TNT video card. Since then, I have always opted for nVidia hardware when possible.
Now I have gotten involved in generative AI development, and I see a very familiar and trusted company and I could not be happier.
TIME Most Influential People 2024
(Jensen Huang)
He is definitely one of the people who deserve this.

I always admired leaders who have the grit and determination to stick with their vision for long periods of time. Jensen Huang is the clear leader of the tech industry in this regard.
He started with a belief in building powerful, parallelizable compute to deliver inspiring graphics and gaming experiences. While most of the industry focused on making mobile devices, he recognized that delivering the most powerful chips would unlock the next wave of innovation.
Today, most AI models—everything from large language models to systems for autonomous driving to applications in science and health care—are trained on Nvidia hardware. You can trace this innovation back to Nvidia being in a position to design modern GPUs and deliver them at scale. It’s a remarkable testament to Jensen’s ability to evolve and execute.
On top of this, Jensen has also taken the time to help me and other founders when we’ve faced challenges. I’m deeply appreciative of everything he has done for our industry.

ENGAGED #LEADERSHIP. NVIDIA founder Jensen Huang was speaking at Stanford. When asked about his company's leadership style and #efficiency, one of the world's most successful CEOs struck the audience with his candor:
"For me, there are no tasks that are beneath my status. Let me remind you that I once worked as a dishwasher. I also cleaned toilets. I cleaned more toilets than all of you combined. Some of them were unseat. That's life. You can't show me the task that's beneath me."
Today, Jensen Huang's fortune is estimated at $80 billion, and #Nvidia is one of three companies worth more than $2 trillion. The other two are Apple and Microsoft.

Just watched an inspiring interview with Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, and couldn't help but share a few invaluable insights:
1. Work Hard, Always Improve: Whether starting as a dishwasher or in any role, be the best and continually strive for improvement.
2. Build a Strong Legacy: You can have a bad interview, but you can't run away from your past. Be the best, and your actions will open doors.
3. Innovate Ahead of Time: Develop ideas ahead of your time, creating new markets alongside new products or technologies.
4. Power of Books: Jensen emphasizes the value of books, implementing learnings from them at various stages in NVIDIA's journey. Walk into a bookstore or download a book – learning from others is key.
5. Focus on Early Indicators: Define success through Early Indicators of Future Success, especially when traditional KPIs are challenging to define.
6. Create Value, Find Inspiration: Prioritize creating value over the size of the market. Find inspiration in the importance of the work.
7. Consistent Leadership Pulse: Through market ups and downs, maintain a consistent pulse. Do what you believe in, regardless of external factors.
8. Visibility Matters: Even if you're naturally introverted, as a leader, be seen and communicate. Get out of your comfort zone for the greater good.
9. No Task Is Below a CEO: Get your hands dirty, level the playing field, and embrace the lessons that come with it.
10. Empower Your Team: Leaders create conditions for people to do their life's work. Clear the field for them to provide value.
11. Flatten Organizations: Strive for flat organizations to minimize "information mutilation." Stick to your organization's core principles.
12. Focus on What You Can Control: Accept what you can't control. Instead, focus on making a unique contribution and living a purposeful life.

What a ride Nvidia has been on! Seems like only yesterday I was trying to choose what GeForce graphics card I was going to use to build a gaming computer and now they are leading the charge in AI.
Check out this interesting approach by their CEO. This has been a style I've often tried to adapt in my leadership approach of bringing others in and empowering the team to have more ownership and move fast!

I'd recommend all my friends to watch and listen with attention all that Jensen Huang said in this edition of of View from the Top, a public gathering at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. It is indeed a great treeat about Business education in the XXI Century, in particular for technology companies in highly competitive sectors. It is also a lesson on human humility, beliefs and how to be a responsible good leader overall.

Like everyone in business I have been astounded by NVIDIS remarkable achievement of reaching a market valuation of $2 trillion. So getting the opportunity to listen to the insightful thoughts from Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIS was something I didn’t want to miss.
There are so many topics covered, from #generativeAi, exciting as it’s no longer retrieval based to my favourite #FirstPrincipals.
Here were some of my key takeaways.
Jensen talks a lot about his team, how he is ‘surrounded by geniuses, we have singularly the best management team in the world’. Thats everyone, not just the engineers and designers. His team say his leadership style is very engaged - no task is beneath him and he welcomes the opportunity to help them. He has built a culture where everyone reasons through challenges and empowers all to make decisions which builds creativity and resilience.
I love that he believes in leading others to greatness, should be the reason every management team exists.
When it comes to 1st principles, he always remembers what the organisation is designed to do. He shared that as the architect of your own company, it's crucial to define the operating system, which is the culture that drives everything.
It's this culture that has propelled NVIDIA to cross the remarkable milestone of $2T valuation." #NVIDIA#Leadership#Insights#2Trillionhttps://lnkd.in/eKhybNB9
A few nights ago, my 14-year-old son, Ed, and I watched a 2 min video titled "An Insightful Conversation with Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, Offering Remarkable Honesty."
It left such a lasting impression on both of us.
Ed, with his fresh perspective, simply said, “This guy is smart. I’m going to try that.” It was insightful to see how even a young mind could grasp and appreciate the depth of Jensen Huang’s honesty and wisdom.
Throughout this week, I've found myself repeatedly referring to this video in my sessions with clients. Jensen's candid approach to discussing challenges and the ways we perceive and handle our daily tasks resonated deeply with me and became a valuable analogy in our conversations.
It's a reminder of how powerful and transformative simple truths can be, not just in our personal lives but also in our professional commitments. This has truly been a week of meaningful reflections and growth, inspired by a remarkable leader.
I highly recommend watching the video. Sometimes, it's these insightful moments that provide the clarity and motivation we need to tackle our days with a fresh perspective.

Inspiring to hear Jensen Huang's lecture at Stanford University delved deeply into his philosophies on people, culture, and leadership, emphasizing personal and organizational growth. Here are some of the subtler, heart-centered themes he discussed:
1. Importance of Pain and Suffering:
Huang openly talks about pain and suffering at Nvidia, stating that greatness comes from overcoming challenges. He encourages embracing difficulties as they build resilience and character, which are essential for long-term success.
2. Empathy and Connection:
He spends much of his time brainstorming with managers and leaders, helping them navigate tasks and opportunities. This approach fosters a deep connection and understanding within the team, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
3. First-Principles Thinking:
By breaking down complex problems into their basic components and rebuilding solutions from the ground up, he encourages innovative thinking that goes beyond conventional methods. This approach not only drives technological advancements but also instills a mindset of curiosity and continuous learning within the organization.
For those interested in exploring these insights further, I highly recommend watching the full lecture.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang on why he does not fire people:
"I rather improve you than give up on you... I don't like giving up on people because I think they could improve. And it's tongue in cheek but people know that I'd rather torture them into greatness [than give up on them]" - Jensen Huang
Unsurprisingly, Nvidia's market cap per employee is around $100 million. Not sure any other public market company will ever be able to beat it.
Great company coupled with great leadership does wonders.
