Exciting news for our military community! The National Association of State Workforce Agencies has partnered with Hilton Honors to support service members in their transition to civilian life. Eligible individuals can earn up to 100,000 Hilton Honors points, which can be used for various employment-related activities such as job interviews, training, and certifications. Here's what you need to know: ✔️ Allowable Activities: -Travel for verifiable job interviews -Training needed to get or keep a job or leading to a certification -Pre-employment testing such as physicals, drug testing, and aptitude/agility tests ❌ Non-Allowable Activities: -Attending conference and/or career fairs -Job searching -Relocation and/or house hunting -Family visits -Vacations -Retirement -Non-employment activities Please note: Points are not guaranteed, and there's no reimbursement for previous stays at Hilton properties. How do I connect with your company to hire HVAC techs and construction workers for my company?

So on November 2nd, 2023. I went to the Pikes Peak Workforce Center Job Fair that claimed to have hundreds of Defense Contractors. I circled the even 4 times and tried to talk to them, but only to find out that they were not able to answer the basic question of what jobs they have available. Pikes Peak Workforce Center claims they run the job fair to federal standards, so the can report fake job results to the government. They claim to follow federal laws, but the only put that Job fair as a dog and pony show to make them look good. With the business cards of those who claimed to work for government defense and their contractors. I had the Artificial Intelligence of Haven Pride investigate the card holders, resume, background work and education. The only ones who did not fail was those in legal jobs, but you don't need much to kiss butt or eat their crap, and you don't need an education to claim false laws. Our Friday Spotlight goes to the KY Veterans Program: Veterans can visit their Kentucky Career Center and take advantage of the following no-cost services:   Career assessments Labor market information Access to training opportunities, such as job fair and workshops Job interview preparation Resume and cover letter assistance Assistance with KEE Suite Access to computer and free internet service Help applying for federal employment and training programs in which veterans receive priority of service   Some veterans face significant barriers that make it difficult for them to find suitable employment, especially vets who are transitioning in to veterans themselves:   Help develop an employability plan and goals Coaching in individual and group settings Referrals to supportive services, including vocational rehabilitation, transportation, elder care, food and nutrition services, and non-profit organizations that address homelessness   Priority of Service for Veterans   U.S. military veterans and other covered persons receive Priority of Service Veterans (P0S) in all employment, training and placement services in any workforce preparation program funded by the U.S. Department of Labor.   Veterans receive access to services or resources provided sooner than others. Covered person include the spouse of a Veteran who died of a service-connected disability, has a total service-connected disability, is missing in action, or is a prisoner of war.
