Beeson, Xlera Solutions, released a Book: The Business End of FPGAs – Accessing FPGA Talent." FPGAs will dominate the Edge, and developing a deeper talent pool is key. Dr. Rob Spalding, Brig Gen, USAF (Ret) has one of the nation's top FPGA inventors, Jon Huppenthal. Other industry leaders include David Brady, Jungah Lee, Tomas Evensen, David Bruemmer, Dan Isaacs From reconfigurability, baseband processing, AI, and even rectification of geospatial data; FPGAs will be deployed in the millions. Name your favorite project so far - I'll start 😎 It has been a real privilege to organize the FPGA Hackathon since the 2nd edition and watch this project grow and evolve. This year we did it for the 5th time. I met the most amazing people among the organizers, which resulted in great cooperation and an amazing result 🚀 We gathered FPGA technology enthusiasts from all over the world at Krakow Technology Park & Online. 6️⃣0️⃣ teams from 3️⃣3️⃣ countries to be precise. For 2️⃣4️⃣ hours they worked to solve 1️⃣5️⃣ hackathon tasks and create a Lunar Metropolis 🌗 Organizing a worldwide event can be a challenge, but a collaborative team makes you feel great satisfaction and an eagerness for more 😎 This is also my last post as a Nokian. On Monday I start a new journey in a new place, but the FPGA Hackathon will always be at the top of my favorite events (and definitely want to save this memory for my future self 🤠 ). On Dec 6-2023, there is another event of the series: "FIRE: FPGA Innovation Research Exchange" organized by SURF, together with the HW Acceleration Network community. This time it's a HW acceleration workshop focused on application development using a HW-SW co-design approach. The focus of this event is on optimizing applications on heterogeneous CPU-accelerator systems, addressing system design challenges to achieve full system optimization. 🚀 Thrilled to share my journey at the Intel GenAI Hackathon! 🤖🧠 Hosted by E-cell during the E-summit at RVCE in collaboration with Intel Group, this three-day offline event delved into the realm of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) using Intel CPUs and GPUs on the Intel Developer Cloud (IDC) platform. Supported by phenomenal partners and mentors, we explored various facets of Generative AI, from text-to-image to text-to-speech. 💻 Our challenge involved leveraging IDC’s GenAI Essentials notebooks, providing access to robust Intel CPUs, GPUs, and pre-trained models. While we couldn't explore all of Intel's toolkits, such as OpenVINO and the oneAPI AI toolkit, we made the most of available resources, optimizing solutions and exploring deployment across diverse devices. Check out our project on GitHub! 📂 We crafted a poem generator bot, debate bot, and user-friendly GUIs using Tkinter. Additionally, we dived deep into PyTorch and Intel's extension for PyTorch (IPEX), gaining valuable insights into performance enhancements and optimizations. 📈 We have utilized the intel AI toolkit for the our project, which gave us the best results with the optimized version, which is better than the other This experience was both exhilarating and challenging, pushing us to innovate and collaborate in novel ways. This is a paradox and dangerous feature in data analytics for decision making support. "Will AI replace and terminate the University of Cambridge?"
