NOHO = WE ARE FOODIES ❤️ When team NOHO is on the road, we definitely don’t miss the chance to go on a culinary “food safari” in our spare time. Surrounded by unknown scents, tastes & sounds, we get completely lost in a new adventure. Between delicious food & drinks, we discover what shapes the region & its people, what makes up an essential part of their culture: their food culture. Here are our top 5 reasons why you should go on a “food safari” on your next trip: 1. 🔍 Experience culture through food: From every bite we learn what the region & its people are all about. What do you eat? That shows us who you are! 🍽️❤️ 2. 🌐 Local cuisine, global connection: Finding access to a foreign culture through local dining & drinking habits is a common practice for us. 🌟 3. 🍴 Food as identity: Food gives us identity, connects us with a region, their people & traditions. Table manners, food choices, cooking habits – all of this shapes a culture. 🏞️👫 4. 💪Local support: A conscious engagement with food culture can strengthen not only local companies but also the identity of an entire region & its residents. Food tourism opens doors to real local gastronomy & agriculture. This way you can experience the reality of the region up close! 5. 🔥 Inspiration & creativity: A food safari not only brings us closer to the culture, but also inspires us to new ideas & creative projects. 🎨✨ You see, it might be worth trying something new & getting lost into the unknown on your next trip. We highly recommend it to you! Enjoy the adventure! #POV #foodies #foodtourism #wearenoho #nohoconsulting #travel #work #aroundtheworld #ontheroad #support #teamnoho #event #hospitality #expertise #work #projectmanagement #projects #team #consulting #creative #wow #noho #support

There are two types of travelling foodies — those who plan ahead and those who like to go with the flow. Planning ahead can be great, allowing you to cast a wide net and hit the ground running or eating, depending on how you’d like to look at it. But not planning and going with the flow can also result in fun and interesting experiences. So which one best describes you? Do you like to pre-plan restaurants and other food experiences when you travel, or are you the type to wing it? #foodie #travel #travelagent

I am a big advocate of traveling to different parts of the world. Exploring different cultures is not just fun, it gives us a greater understanding of how to communicate better and learn different ways of doing things. This is useful for our personal and business life. You might even grow in ways that are a pleasant surprise and enhance your life and possibly those around you. It can be challenging sometimes to step outside your comfort zone, but that is where we typically grow the most. There are 195 countries in the world and a global population around 8 billion. Typically, there are more differences with people within a particular country verse across borders to other countries in the world. That means we might share more similarities than we are aware of and won't know otherwise unless we do some exploring. Media often focuses on the differences, not the similarities. I think food is a universal aspect of culture and is one of my passions. I previously posted my own recipes for an Italian dinner (see link below) after several decades of cooking in different parts of the world. https://lnkd.in/gC5XPYPz #people #culture #food #travel #share

Scooter Food Culture in Rome Post 5 of 5 by Gianni Sciacca Summary and closing statements about scooter food culture in Rome When discussing food culture in Rome, it is hard not to imagine vespas being ridden in the summer and Italians having countryside picnics with a full antipasto spread. In addition, the deliveries of meals on scooters give the city of Rome a distinctive and lively dining experience, which is especially noticeable when walking day-to-day in the streets (Scooter Roma, 2015). Rome's scooter food culture promotes social contacts, cross-cultural exchange, and economic development in addition to being merely convenient. These encounters and interactions promote the growth of interpersonal skills that improve connection, understanding, and communication within the community. In Rome, there is a distinct culinary phenomenon known as "scooter food culture" that revolves around the usage of scooters for food delivery and social gatherings. This is especially effective and practical for moving food through Rome's congested streets, letting both locals and visitors enjoy a wide variety of delectable cuisine. Food is rooted in Italian identity and social structure and serves as more than just nutrition. The Mediterranean diet is the term that is commonly thrown around to describe this. Italians place a strong emphasis on using high-quality, fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods because they are proud of their culinary heritage. A beloved social activity that brings families and friends together is eating together. Like other iconic emblems of Italian culture, scooters stand for freedom, style, and adventure. Online forums and review sites aid in facilitating discussions and suggestions, fostering a sense of neighborhood around food. Scooter food culture fosters community, promotes culinary exploration, and reinforces the social bonds that bind communities together. #ACUculinarynutrition #ACUnutriton #ACUstudyabroad #ACURomefoodcultureandcommunityengagement

Global Change Futurist 🌍 | Transformational Speaker 🧭 | Career Portfolio Guide 🎨 | Author of FLUX: 8 Superpowers for Thriving in Constant Change 📚 | Powered by Joy & Gratitude 🤸♀️
I'm not a foodie, and this is far from my typical LinkedIn post. But this delicious news is global, interesting, somewhat surprising, and fun in all the right ways! TimeOut Group has announced its top 20 food cities in the world right now. Asia features well, along with smattering of Europe, Africa, and Latin America. Singapore, Paris, and Rome are notably absent. And guess what? Only ONE city in the U.S. made the list: #Portland, Oregon! I've been to all 20 places on this list, several of them many times, and they all rock. But to see Portland alongside Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Marrakesh when it comes to cuisine is next-level. And I especially love why: "New Orleans has gumbo, Boston has clam chowder; Portland, on the other hand, isn’t known for just one iconic dish, but rather for its #food scene at large. The laidback Oregon city is one of America’s most exciting food and drink destinations, where the city’s best plates can be found not only in #restaurants but at #foodcarts, #farmersmarkets and #breweries." Here's the full list – enjoy, and visit Portland! 😋 1) Naples, Italy 2) Johannesburg, South Africa 3) Lima, Peru 4) Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 5) Beijing, China 6) Bangkok, Thailand 7) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 8) Mumbai, India 9) Dubai, UAE 10) **PORTLAND, OREGON, USA** 11) Liverpool, UK 12) Medellin, Colombia 13) Sevilla, Spain 14) Porto, Portugal 15) Marrakech, Morocco 16) Lyon, France 17) Sydney, Australia 18) Montreal, Canada 19) Osaka, Japan 20) Copenhagen, Denmark https://lnkd.in/gMviT83C #cities #culture Travel Portland, Travel Oregon, Eric, Jon, Ashley, Stephen, Jerry, Lynn, Gloria, Rick, Skip, Cara, Alex, Gary, Ryan, Abby, Melissa, Kim, Paige, Deepthi, Josh, Portland Monthly
