Co-founder OCoil - COIL: An Innovative, Patented, Battery Pack design to solve rapid recharge and longevity problems in Electric Vehicles - Creating a shared Energy Market between EVs and energy storage.
The four-way shuttle was the first to be put into use in Europe around 2013. In recent years, the development momentum of China brands has become more popular. Not only has great progress been made in technology and performance, but also the price advantage and localized service have also been recognized by the market.
With the rising labor costs and land prices, the pressure on enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency continues to increase. Coupled with the impact of the epidemic, the demand for intelligent storage in many industries has been released. As an important part of it, the four-way multi-shuttle has become a "big killer" for intensive storage solutions due to its high efficiency, high flexibility and high adaptability.

🏗 We are starting the construcion of the new 330 kV Vilnius-Neris power transmission line.
🔗The new 81 km long overhead line, together with the existing 330 kV lines Lietuvos elektrinė-Vilnius and Lietuvos elektrinė-Neris, will create of 330 kV power transmission lines ring around the capital. It will ensure reliable electricity supply in the Vilnius region, increase the stability of the electricity grid, and enable further development of the city and its district.
💡The construction of the Vilnius-Neris power line is taking place in preparation for the synchronisation with the continental European grids.
The image shows the reconstructed section of the overhead line in orange and the newly built section in purple.

#koalalifter: The Most Efficient & Flexible Craneless Wind Turbine System
a revolutionary craneless system designed to climb wind turbine towers with the agility of a koala scaling trees. Inspired by nature, KoalaLifter utilizes adaptable friction collars to seamlessly match the shape and diameter of any wind turbine tower. This innovative technology enables KoalaLifter to operate in winds up to 25m/second, significantly reducing downtime and ensuring reliability, robustness, and safety during maintenance and component exchanges.
How KoalaLifter Works:
The climbing process begins by tightening the expandable collars of each section sequentially. As the second section expands towards the nacelle, its collars tighten upon reaching full extension, pulling the first section upwards. This iterative process continues until KoalaLifter reaches the turbine's peak for efficient component exchanges and maintenance.
Advantages:
Adaptability: Adaptable friction collars mimic tower dimensions.
Efficiency: Operates in winds up to 25m/second, minimizing downtime.
Portability: Transportable in a standard 40’ skeleton trailer for global accessibility.
Safety: Controlled via radio frequency remote, keeping operations ground-based.
Applications:
Ideal for onshore and offshore wind farms, KoalaLifter offers a versatile solution where traditional cranes are impractical or costly. This system ensures swift and reliable wind turbine maintenance and erection, including in challenging offshore environments with a wave compensation platform.
Conclusion:
KoalaLifter sets a new standard in crane less wind turbine technology, combining innovative design with practical efficiency to meet the demands of the renewable energy industry worldwide.

The direct current (DC) connection EstLink 2 between Finland and Estonia has been disconnected from the network. The grid company Fingrid announced the disconnection early on Friday (26 Jan 2024). Cause is unknown.
Article is in Finnish. Google Translated snippets:
«When the connection was lost, the power transfer from Estonia to Finland was 130 megawatts.
According to Fingrid, the disturbance has not affected the reliability of the Finnish electricity system.
The EstLink 2 direct current connection has a transmission capacity of 650 megawatts. The total length of the connection is about 170 kilometers, of which about 14 kilometers are overhead cables in Finland, about 145 kilometers of sea cable buried at the bottom of the Gulf of Finland, and about 12 kilometers of land cables in Estonia.»

Inspired by Danny Zaitsev advice to charge electric vehicles today at midday, I wanted to check how big the Norwegian demand synchronization with the electricity price is.
Guess what? There is a lot of automation in Norway and many have used the cheap electricity hours to their advantage.
Sunny hours in Germany are giving smiles to Norwegian consumers for the moment.
The current ratio of consumers that have synchronized their behavior with low electricity prices does not seem way too problematic. The near future might be way different.
For example, Statnett SF is unhappy with more than 1 hour of under-frequency situation.
Lastly, I wonder how Norwegian DSOs have been copying with such market synchronization.
After all, the avalanche effects tend to compromise the low-voltage grid.

The partners of the EU funded project are reunited for the STREAM 3rd General Meeting. This opportunity is used to exchange key findings; present the work that has been done so far as well as the milestones; identify the strong points; and state the plans and kick-off activities.
The main objective of the STREAM project is to create an innovative and robust flexibility ecosystem on the low voltage grid side of existing power markets. It connects data, technologies, stakeholders and markets, thus facilitating flexibility provision.
The project began in 2022 and there are 4 pilots sites: Spain, Italy, Slovenia and Finland. 20 partners are currently involved to enable innovative energy and non-energy data-driven services; provide tailor-made services to end users through an scalable and easy-to-implement user service framework; develop a local market design on the LV grid; and impact on decision-making processes related to grid upgrades and regulatory or policy changes that affect the structure and operation of the power markets.
