VP Functional Learning at SAP

The most interesting aspect of this conversation to me was thinking about the connection between skills and innovation. While the initial observation is quite obvious - the fact that both SAP and Cisco made this connection more formal by bringing the #chiefinnovationofficer to become the #chieflearningofficer or to align parts of learning organizationally with the chief innovation officer was fascinating. To me it underlines the importance of taking a skills based approach to understanding the workforce (or labor force) and which skills, knowledge, capabilities to update, change, add, deprecate in order to bring the entire organization along on the innovation journey. Thanks for having me Karen Walker 📈 and good chat Guy Diedrich.
