🎉Celebrating 7 years working at Shopify! I’m grateful to work for such an innovative, creative & trusting company with great colleagues and the coolest merchants on the planet🙏 Crazy to think I’ve been at Shopify longer than 92% of the company & 36% of my adult life 🤯 In this time the merchant success / #customersuccess role has evolved and changed as the business grew, which I have always enjoyed and adapted too. I’ve worked with about 200 Shopify merchants during this time, each unique with its own individuals, personalities, brand story and visions. Different products, countries, fast growing, slow growth. . . They all share a passion for product, brand and using technology to create & build the best customer experience, selling products to solve a problem or pain point in the market. One thing is for sure, there is no one size fits all approach and a constant need to adapt to changing market conditions while remaining disciplined and consistent with the fundamentals. I've had some really promising conversations recently so wanted to share some of the key takeaways: 🤩 April seems to have started well for many agencies with new projects being signed and demand growing considerably in multiple sectors. 🤩 Shopify agencies seem to have had a good start to the year with the demand to re-platform continuing to increase. 🤩 At least 2 enterprise retail brands are likely to be kicking off large transformation programmes soon. This is likely to create a number of new hires (perm and contract) 🤩 Plenty of my connections within digital commerce have been able to secure a role after a longer than would-like time out of work. Also, Simply Commerce is likely to have its best-qualified jobs month this year, including multiple new client wins. Watch this space.🤩

The e-commerce space is weird. 🤓 But I love weird.  🤐 Working in this field has given me the opportunity to form authentic connections with people I’ll probably never meet face-to-face. How crazy is that? 🤔 I love helping people get what they need, bridging those gaps in communication, and knowing that I’ve made someone’s day or helped them in a small way. And when the customers say nice things about our interactions, it’s like getting a virtual high-five. I value the customer, and in exchange, they value the brand I represent. Even though there are many hiccups, working in e-commerce has helped me understand people better. It’s translated into me being a better and more patient person outside of work. And it’s also taught me to explain things at a fifth-grade level. But that’s a story for another time. 😉

They're committed to ensuring children spend as much time outdoors as possible. His innovative ideas, from product leasing to brand activation in hotels and empowering consumers to set their Black Friday & and Cyber Monday prices, are the creative sparks that will propel e-commerce into the future! 🔥 ▶️ Wrapping up the day with roundtable discussions was one of the highlights of this edition. These deep dives into various topics and the opportunity to lay the foundation for new connections left us excited. TryNow Weekly Update 1.12.24 ⚡ A week of embracing constraints to do more with less. At TryNow, we intentionally pour our balance sheet capital into product and engineering since that drives the most long-term value for customers. But that means a lean team is left to manage a quickly growing merchant pipeline. Embracing constraints mean ruthless prioritization, and nothing is more important than the merchant or shopper experience, so that's where we focused. • Wrapped up the launch of our TryNow: Try Before You Buy Shopify App with the release of drag-and-drop components to enable 10 min installations • Onboarding 23 Shopify Plus brands this week. We're in the process of designing and building a new and improved self-service onboarding flow that will create a seamless CX and allow us to relieve this bottleneck and service demand • So many of you have referred us merchants (thank you 🙏), so we decided to formalize it with a GTM Advisor program. Will officially launch mid-month.
