Recent front-end libraries are having the side-effect hooks like useEffect(React), watch and watchEffect (Vue). This hooks are comfortable to use but also sometimes this will makes some logics are hard to understanding as effects are happening by state change and observing it. Sometimes this is really helpful but sometimes this need to avoid using from component but using the event handler or lifecycle hooks can catch the rendering and moment. but React only have the side effect hooks when they using the function component, So we need to change mindsets that can handling with side effect + rendering cycle. It is react way I think.

I think I have found my new editor, Helix! As a Nvim afficionado I like the pure terminal workflow, as it doesn't hide the way tools connect, and its no-mouse approach. While the VSCode community developed a plugin to have VSCode use Nvim as its editor backend the experience is still a bit clunky because VSCode was designed to be interacted with the mouse. Nvim on the other end lacks the file management abilities and ecosystem integration VSCode has, out of the box at least, and configuring it for large and complex workspaces can be a nightmare. So I accepted VSCode in my life, with some additional custom keybindings, as the lesser of the two evils. Until now! I was skeptical at first of Helix because it tampers a bit with Vim motions, but it started growing on me when I discovered it sports a evil Emacs style command scheme for lsp informed file navigation and code navigation! Hitting space and then f brings you to a quick fuzzy find search among what the lsp deems project files, and g followed by d brings you directly to the definition of the symbol under the cursor. With space and b you can jump between the open buffers you have. This was what I was looking for in my terminal editor and Helix had it out of the box. Giving it a solid shot! So far has worked great with my Rust projects, testing it with a TS one soon enough. Check it out if you also like Vim, you may end up liking it too. #helix #nvim #vim #vscode https://helix-editor.com/

Make a bullet in 3 lines. Traditional netcode will take a lot of code to just make a moving bullet appear on every player's screen. With Rocket Networking on #GameMaker , you use a system called Smart Entities. All you have to do in smart entities are specify variables for this entity that you want to share with others. This is typically the x, y, sprite_index or any custom variable. After defining all of those on oMySmartEntity, a "bullet" is created on everyone else's screen and the variables update realtime. This mean you have a dynamic realtime object. Specifically when you are sharing built in variables you must make a dummy variable with 3 underscores first. So in this example you can define ___x to always be equal to x of the bullet in the step event.
