My son much prefers a taxi to the bus, less chaos and the buses in our area are notorious for being late or just skipping a service. But overall he’s actually coped well with public transport over the years. He’s only caught the train once as a young adult (on his own) and was a little anxious about this but it went fairly smoothly. I think strangers sitting next to and opposite him at a table seat was tricky. I imagine he may choose a 2 seat space if he were to do it again.
