🎆 Don't be like this buckaroo, let's enjoy a dazzlingly safe July 4! 🎆 While fireworks can spark up your celebration, it's important to be aware of precautions. Thousands of firework-related injuries send people to the hospital each year, especially during Independence Day. At UM UCH, we want you to have a fun and mishap-free holiday. Here’s what we recommend: - Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible. - Only use legal fireworks and follow all local regulations. - Always supervise children closely around fireworks. With summer, comes many festivities. One of the big festive traditions in July we celebrate by shooting off fireworks. We want to share a few tips with you to help keep you and your loved ones safe. Firework Safety TIPS 1. Read and follow the directions. 2. Keep a bucket of water or hose close by. 3. A responsible adult should supervise all fireworks activities. 4. Only have one person shoot the fireworks. 5. Use eye protection when shooting fireworks. 6. Never point or throw fireworks at anyone. 7. Do not handle or relight a dud firework. Wait 30 minutes, soak them in water, and dispose of them properly.
