Our favourite way to spend a Wednesday morning is with Jacaranda FM (94.2) and Good Morning Angels 💚 This morning the Naked Difference donated R50,000 to Louis Botha Children’s Home after a devastating fire left 12 boys with nothing. The Naked Difference is so much more than a CSI initiative. It ensures that, in years when claims are lower than expected, Naked donates leftover premiums to good causes instead of taking it as profit. We’ve removed any conflict of interest when it comes to claims. This is the Naked Difference and it changes everything about insurance.

5 reasons you need a Will even if you don't have Kids 1. Make your wishes 'official' - If you have a partner or unrelated person you want to give to, a Will is the only way to ensure this. 2. Lessen the burden - Without a Will your estate may need to go through Probate, which is added stress for your family. 3. Leave money to your Pet - Fur babies need guardians too! Make sure the best person takes your pet and that they're supported financially. 4. It only takes 15-20 mins - It's like an MOT or boiler service. Once it's done it's done and then you can forget about it. 5. Leave a gift to charity - Donate 10%+ of your estate to a charity you love, your other beneficiaries could save tax too! My state in Brazil is living the biggest nightmare we've ever lived. And you can literally save someone's life. In less than 7 days, thousands of people lost their houses and everything inside. We still have hundreds - or thousands - who are tying to get rescued. It's a war scenario and I honestly have no idea how we're going to recover from all this. But people are fighting, trying their best and helping each other. You can literally save someone's life. Your money can be used to pay the gas on a saving boat or the meal of a kid who lost their house and family members. HOW TO DONATE: https://lnkd.in/d4jAkC2u

Help Us Drive Change! Donate a Car to our "Cars for Lives" Initiative! Do you have a car that you no longer require? Perhaps you're replacing or disposing of an older vehicle? Maybe your family has an elderly relative who is no longer able to drive, leaving a surplus vehicle. Looking to make a positive impact while avoiding the hassle of selling a vehicle? By donating your used car to Windsor Park LifeCare Trust, you're directly contributing to our efforts to positively impacting lives in our community. Here's how: ✨ Your donation enables us to continue delivering essential programs and services that benefit those in need within our community. ✨ The funds raised from the sale of your vehicle go directly toward covering the costs of our initiatives, ensuring that we can reach even more individuals and families. ✨ As the seller, you may qualify for a charitable giving tax rebate for the total amount that the Trust sells the car for, subject to the usual IRD conditions. It should be a win-win situation for all involved. Donated cars don't have to be perfect by any means. Damaged bodywork and mechanical repairs if needed, are not a problem. Visit our website (https://lnkd.in/gSe8AnwP) or give us a call (09 477 0002) to learn more about how you can donate your car and join us in driving positive change in our community. Together, we can turn an unwanted vehicle into a chariot of hope and opportunity for those in need. #CarsForLives #DonateYourCar #CommunityImpact #WindsorParkLifecareTrust #GiveBack #SupportLocal #SocialImpact #ChangeLives #DriveChange #PositiveImpact #GoodCause

Feedback is like a coat. Sometimes it’s in the middle of a polar freeze and the “coat” is exactly what you need. And sometimes it’s the middle of summer heat, and that “coat” is dangerous to put on. We’re often taught to take every piece of feedback we receive. To put on every coat until we’re so weighed down, we can barely move. I’m giving you permission to evaluate and try on each piece of feedback before you decide to wear it. And for the pieces that don’t serve you, put them aside or donate them! #MirrorMondays #feedback #lettinggo #FindYourFierce #fiercenotfears

Thought for the Day - 6th September, 2023 :- Beauty, without Character, is Useless. And Knowledge, without Humility, is Useless. If there is no Consciousness, then Enthusiasm, is Useless. Helping women understand their finances and get on with their lives through simple explanations and financial planning. Cash Flow Planning | Retirement Planning Chartered Financial Planner at Fairstone Group
Day 26 - Gift aid donations Thinking about what I achieved in 2023 year and I think it’s alright to be proud. I haven’t saved the world but I have focused on protecting myself and my family as well as helping my clients which is all I could do and I think that is fine – we can’t all be heroes all the time and it is important to say out loud that it is okay. Hopefully this year there will be more opportunities to be a hero for someone, or at least help a little. One way to help a little is donating to charities – registered charities will be able to claim gift aid (if you confirm they can) which means that your donation of £80 gives the charity an extra £20 in gift aid. Also, if you are a higher or additional rate taxpayer, this can save you an extra £20, £25 or even £40 in income tax – meaning an £80 donation actually costs you £60, £55 or £40 and the charity gets £100! Very nice for them and a good way to help someone, even a little. #financialplanning #adventcalendar #gifting #financetips #dogsoflinkedin #Adventuary #petsoflinkedin Information is based on our current understanding of taxation legislation and regulations. Any levels and bases of, and reliefs from, taxation are subject to change. Ruby and (a rather mournful looking) Nugget, Sarah Woolmer CIHCM’s lovely pups from Ilfracombe

"I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give. I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare. In other words, if our expenditure on comforts, luxuries, amusements, etc, is up to the standard common among those with the same income as our own, we are probably giving away too little. If our charities do not at all pinch or hamper us, I should say they are too small. There ought to be things we should like to do and cannot do because our charitable expenditure excludes them." - CS Lewis A lot of people use 10% as their giving framework. And I'd like to believe that those same people have a desire to give more. But most often that desire is met with a scarcity-mindset of "we can't afford to give more" instead of the abundance-mindset of "how can we afford to give more?" We decided as a family to increase our giving on at least an annual basis. That may mean enjoying less luxuries and amusements... But that will mean enjoying more fulfillment from the fruit of our generosity. And I think we all would like to feel more fulfilled. Do you have a giving framework? Can you afford to give more?

This year may be a great time to donate to a favorite charity if you’re near the top of the standard deduction threshold. 🤲Doing so will help support a good cause and allow you to make itemized deductions for an extra reduction in your taxable income for the year. 😉 Be sure to read this week’s blog to learn more. 💻 Link in bio! #attorneyerinnobles #legacyplanning #massachusettslawyer #estateplanning #wills

This week our CEO David Powles wrote to previous supporters of NCLS to ask them to consider supporting our match-funding scheme with Aviva. For every £ donated, they add another £ to the pot. 🥂 In just 24 hours a staggering £2,000 was raised on the back of that email. 💸 To put that into context, the specialist advice we offer costs on average £24 an hour to provide. 🤝 This means, from that shout out alone, we will be able to provide 83 hours of advice to the people of Norfolk. That advice could be given to a domestic abuse victim unable to get support through the court process. It might help us to represent the thousands of people a year who are being wrongly denied benefits they are entitled to. It might help someone wrongfully dismissed by their employer, but unable to fight back without our support. Whomever it is used for - it will give them a voice and it will make a real difference. Please consider donating to help us to help more people.

2moI've been seeing a lot about the work Naked is doing for the community and this is definitely one of those companies you want to end up working for because their purpose spreads further than the walls of the organization. Love to see it.
