goodfact use case #297: actually building a chronology. So the other day I met a litigator. We'll call him Sam. He seemed competent, but he wasn't grasping goodfact's value. That seemed odd. Until we asked him a few more questions and realized a major blind spot in the conversation: He was not building chronologies for his files, even when they involved a substantial amount of documents (100+), including email threads!!! 😮 Instead, Sam explained, he simply "glances through" the documents to quickly "get a sense" of what happened before starting to draft his materials. After recovering from our shock, we realized that in the non-goodfact world, building a chronology has become such a tedious chore that some litigators simply don't bother, regardless of how important it is for their file. Folks, that is sad and scary. And completely avoidable! Now you can just drop all those documents into goodfact and get a detailed chronology in a few seconds. Knowledge = power 💪 #noexcuse #knowyourstory #litigation

The chaotic good of research presentations...| Researcher development | Training and courses | Loves a good story |
Advanced slide tip... You can use use visual complexity, simplicity, chaos, or starkness to help emphasise your points. For example to point out how complex your lit review is you could create a huge messy connection map. this is visually horrible.. but thats the point.

There is actually a hidden message in the attached document. Here are the steps to unlock the secret: 1. Print the document or hold it so that you are looking down at it the long way (vertically). 2. Place your thumb on the (1). A 90 degree angle should be pointing at you. 3. Slightly tilt the paper up and you should see the message. Again, look for long words. 4. Turn the paper so the next 90 degree angle faces you and you should see another message. 5. Keep turning the paper until you see the entire message. Good luck!!
