Chilled foods such as cheese and fresh pasta are popular with shoppers, but merchandising the different-sized bags and boxes in a limited chiller space isn’t always easy. Packages do not stack well and limited visibility means it’s harder for shoppers to find what they are looking for. 🌟Over 200% increase in impulse sales ! Celebrate 🌟 But why did it only ever get rolled out once ? We produced these unit over 15 years ago . 200 units for one of our POS marketing agency customers . Nice order at the time👍 The units were mainly deployed at airports globally . It had a built in motion sensor so when people approached it triggered the unit into action . With music 🎵 and motion . Literally stopping people in their tracks 💥 with displays either side for products sales . The issue was the unit was so engaging that customers would literally keep coming back just to watch and set it off , by walking up to the display .(I have to admit when I saw 👀 on the way back from a trade fair in Europe at the time I did just this 😂) The result although great for brand sales and engagement it drove the sales staff in the section mad 😡 Once you’ve heard the music 🎶 “celebrate “ once or twice in day that was enough .. so they ended up turning it off 🤣 Perhaps without sound and just the motion ? Retail POS is all about engagement but it’s important to think about the staff in the store . While many of us enjoy chocolate and sweets, merchandising them can be decidedly less enjoyable. Bags are wobbly, chocolate bars break easily and the high number of new flavours and packaging sizes make it difficult to keep shelves organized for shoppers to pick up their favourite treat. That is one of the reasons on why 𝗘𝗱𝗲𝗸𝗮 𝗘𝗿𝗻𝘀𝘁 in Zweibrücken, Germany decided to install Next™ pusher trays in their 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘆 section. Now products are always front-faced and nicely presented without store personnel having to spend much time on maintenance. Thanks to the shelf-less design, the store even managed to gain a few facings. Besides confectionery, Next™ was also installed in chillers for products such as fish and plant-based options. For 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 & 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 – another store category with many different packaging formats and a constant flow of new SKUs – the store decided to go with Multivo™, which does not only push products to the shelf edge automatically, but the flip-front feature makes refilling quicker for staff.
