🎉 Celebrating 2 Years at Microsoft! 🎉 I'm excited to share that I have completed two years at Microsoft. I feel immensely #grateful and #lucky to have had the opportunity to work alongside some of the best minds in the industry. The past two years have been a journey of immense #learning, #growth, and professional fulfillment. I began my journey with the incubation team, where I worked on creating quick prototypes for incubation projects. The fast-paced environment of the incubation team, filled with #innovative and #growth-minded colleagues, provided me the confidence to build anything from scratch. As the AI wave gained momentum, I got opportunity to contribute to Copilot. I (along with my team) created backend services for AI skills such as Summary, Q&A, and Basic Chat from scratch for WXP apps and took them to production. We crafted prompts for these skills. ( Applying prompt engineering even before it became cool.) After that, I moved to the #Mobile Copilot team, where we integrated Copilot into Word and PowerPoint for both Android and iOS from scratch. Currently, I am working on the backend of something truly exciting (which I can't disclose just yet) that will take Copilot’s capabilities to new heights. Reflecting on this journey, I feel #fortunate to have worked on multiple projects, building them from scratch and taking them to production before moving on to new challenges. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, as developing new projects from the ground up is more challenging (and thus more learning) than maintaining products or services. I am grateful for the opportunities to work across various tech stacks, including prompt engineering, frontend development, backend development, and Android development. A heartfelt thank you to my manager, leaders, mentors and colleagues for providing me with #opportunities and their unwavering #support and #inspiration. I am fortunate to be surrounded by growth-minded people who continuously motivate me to #learn and #grow. I am excited about the future and the possibilities that lie ahead. Here’s to many more years of #innovation, #learning, and #success at Microsoft! #Microsoft #Grateful #Learning #Innovation

Back in '75, these two young guns had a vision: To revolutionise the world of computing. With just a dream and some serious coding chops, they founded Microsoft in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Fun fact: it all started with BASIC programming for the MITS Altair 8800. Talk about humble beginnings. Fast forward to today, and Microsoft is the OG powerhouse of tech. From Windows to Xbox, they've woven their way into the fabric of our digital lives. I bet you can’t think of an adult that doesn’t use Microsoft in some way. And let's not forget about Teams – the lifeline that kept businesses connected during the great shift to remote work. The really special thing? Microsoft isn't resting on its laurels. Nope, they're always pushing the envelope with new tools and features to supercharge our productivity, save time, and keep us organised. Where would we be without it? So cheers to Microsoft – the OG trailblazers of tech! #Microsoft #TechHistory #HappyAnniversary

Another day, another blog... let's not make this a habit 😅 But I had to blog about this new feature! The new branch out option in #MicrosoftFabric is here, what I've been demoing during #FabCon back in March together with Nimrod Shalit. Great work by Noam Raveh and team! Excited it finally made it to the masses! I'm super stocked about this feature and wanted to share some of my thoughts on how it works and what you should keep in mind. Read it in my latest post:

🍫💡💌 Innovation in Every Bite: Valentine's Chocolate Making with Microsoft Garage 💌💡🍫 Why did we run a session on chocolate making this Valentine's at the Microsoft Garage in Vancouver? It's simple: 🔍 Creativity & Experimentation: Crafting chocolates mirrors the innovation process—trying new ideas, embracing diverse ingredients, and seeing what amazing things come out. Perfect for the exploratory spirit of Microsoft Garage. 📘 Learning from the Process: Each chocolate batch teaches us something new, just like every project at Microsoft. It's about learning from every experience, successful or not. 🛠 Celebrating Every Outcome: Not every chocolate will be perfect on the first try, and that's okay. It's a sweet reminder that innovation is about progress, not perfection. Thanks to everyone that joined us as we blended the art of chocolate making with the essence of innovation. It's more than just a tasty treat; it's a symbol of our journey towards continuous improvement and creativity. And of course, a big thank you to Cody for planning and running a great event. #MicrosoftGarage #Innovation #Creativity #MSVan #MicrosoftLife #ValentinesDay #vancity #vancouver
