Which MSU logo is your favorite?
To me, the main logo (and my favorite) is the Spartan helmet with Gruff Sparty and the “S” being secondary, supporting graphics. Gruff Sparty is more of a mascot graphic than an official logo. The helmet is the classiest. And many other universities use the “S”.
I love all my children equally
The Block S was on my football helmet for four years and on my varsity letter jacket and ring so it holds a special place, plus my name starts with “S” which makes it fun on my hard hat and now work helmet. The Spartan helmet is classy and more distinctive and has been on the back of my hard hat/ helmet for a long long time. The sheets of stickers from the spirit store with both of those logos in multiple sizes have been around the house for many, many years. I give a one of each away to every new Spartan we hire.
We did this already. We revolted when Nike tried to switch the logo. It’s the classy Spartan helmet logo. Thats the brand. I love the block S and Gruff but those are supplements to the core brand identity.
All three. They all have their own meaning. When we all come together as one in the face of adversity. While we all have different backgrounds, upbringings, and futures, we all bleed “green” and are kind no matter what. Remember, what is going on in the world stems back centuries from stories passed on from generation to generation. Do not feed on the hate that is put into the workd by social media. Children don’t know hate, they are taught it. So stop. We are all humans on this planet- trying to live, live and be happy.
They’re already in the correct order.
The one that gets us a winning season in football!
1. Spartan helmet, 2. Block S, 3. Gruff Sparty. This from a long ago marching band member. 1966 - 1970.
I love our spartan soldier because it reflects our faces when our alma matter stays silent in the face of genocide and the destruction of an entire culture and education system and infrastructure... #GoGreen #GoPalestine

1moI like the Spartan helmet. It could be anyone of any gender identity, race or ability, under that helmet, striving to make better of themselves and the world.
