Take a five-minute break along the banks of the Red Cedar.
On the banks of the Red Cedar, There's a school that's known to all; Its specialty is winning, And those Spartans play good ball; Spartan teams are never beaten, All through the game they fight; Fight for the only colors: Green and White. Go right through for MSU, Watch the points keep growing, Spartan teams are bound to win, They're fighting with a vim! Rah! Rah! Rah! See their team is weakening, We're going to win this game, Fight! Fight! Rah! Team, Fight! Victory for MSU!
One of my favorite places during my time at MSU!
Amazing... the water PLUS the Beaumont Tower Carillon in the background.. incredible. Thanks for sharing
and as a bonus you can hear Beaumont Tower in the background 🕰️
Great memories….calming and beautiful spot! On campus alongside the Red Cedar River is the Beal Botanical Garden, the oldest continuous botanical garden in the United States. The garden was started in 1873. The river is popular in the summer for canoeing and kayaking….and our Crew Team!
Ugh I miss this walk ❤️
I may or may not have shot those rapids in a university livery canoe, capsized below the falls, and watched as my friends and several cases of beer swirled downstream.
Used to sit here with and without friends alll the time… feeding those ducks… awww yeah
Lovely place, very relaxing, five minutes is not enough, but it is better than none at all!

1moThis spot and the bench by the tree is so special to me. My now husband and I had our first date there (a picnic) and years later we got engaged in that exact spot. For many years we returned to visit (from CT) and took pictures on that bench as our family grew. This summer I am bringing my son to tour as a prospective student in 2025 and we'll be taking a picture in that exact spot! Go Green!
