On Wednesday as our flight descended in the Fort Lauderdale area to land at the Hollywood International Airport. We were continuously circling the airport, I looked at the monitor infront of me and the arrival time went up. Our flight was in a holding pattern as the pilot waited for the runway to be made ready for landing. Yes my friends, This is precisely how one feels in transition phases of life. You remain in the same state, doing the same thing while waiting for something to happen. You're tempted to give up, to say there isn't much taking place. But you fail to realize that movement has progressed and you are now in a holding pattern. This is because transition doesn't feel like work, it often feels like wait. In a holding pattern a pilot may not have full knowledge of what is happening on the ground and in the air the pilot must be patient and rely on the air traffic control tower to give him/her permission to land. If not, it will be catastrophic. Moving too soon can bring destruction on those who do not listen to their Control Tower "God." We must allow God to do His work on us in stillness that we might be ready for the next level. Holding pattern is not a bad place to be in, it simple means the control tower is making preparations for you to land at the right moment in safety. Timing is everything in fulfilling your purpose. @Mindfood_01 Morning Charge ☀️ https://lnkd.in/gNGzeMe

Flying on airplanes can make some people really nervous, but there are ways that can help you stay calm and feel better when you fly. Try these: • Breathing Techniques: When you feel nervous, take slow breaths in and out, as if you're blowing up a balloon. It helps calm your body and mind. • Visualize a Safe Landing: Imagine yourself safely landing at your destination, like picturing a happy ending to a story. It can make you feel more relaxed. • Listen to Soothing Music: Soft and calming music can help you feel more comfortable. Organize your favorite music into a playlist to listen to when flying. • Engage in Mindfulness: Pay attention to what's happening around you, like watching the clouds or feeling the airplane's gentle movements. It helps distract your mind from worries. • Stay Educated: Read about airplanes and how they work. Knowing more about flying can make you feel less scared because you understand what's happening. If you should travel from New York to London the flight time is little over 7 hours, flying over the Atlantic. On your way back, from London to New York the flight time is over 8 hours. What causes the differences in the flight time? Wind. On your way going, the pliot flies into what is known as the jet stream, a river of incredible fast-flowing wind in the upper atmosphere. The pilot gain a significant boost from the tailwind which saves on flight time and fuel. On your way back the pilot is flying against the jet stream, which increases flight time and fuel. Hence the pliot must adjust his route around the jet stream. Yes my friends, like the pilot who uses the wind for his advantage, no wind favoured him who has no destined port! All of us are in a little sail boat it is not the blowing of the wind that determines our destination it is the setting of the sail. The same wind blows on us all, the wind of opportunity, change, failure, disappointment but where we arrive is the setting of the sail and the definiteness of purpose. If you learn about the various winds in your life and how to set a good sail, then the wind that blows like the pilot you will use it to take you to your destination. Other times you might have to adjust your plans when the wind is against you. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. @mindfood_01 Morning Charge ☀️ https://lnkd.in/gNGzeMe

#Airplanes Both my daughters love watching airplanes in the sky. There’s something magical about seeing such an object, flying up in the air, defying gravity. For me, flying is both an exciting and terrifying experience. After years of flying back and forth between North America and Malaysia, I’m glad I don’t have to endure the 30+ hours of muscle and mind numbing journeys anymore. Every plane that goes up must eventually land. Each plane has its own capacity and will hold a limited amount of fuel. Although all planes may look similar from the exterior, each is unique and it is important to not compare. You cannot change planes mid-air, so embrace the airplane that you’re in. Enjoy the experience. Engage with your companions or fellow passengers on the journey. Look out the window. Delight in your experience of flying. Pay attention to the sights & sounds. The exhilaration of taking off. Passing through clouds. Recognize the beauty of the experience - don’t just focus on the destination, the journey matters. Airplanes will eventually land but the memories created during the journey will be long-lasting. Nothing lasts forever. We are all on this journey called life. Some journeys are troubled by turbulences due to serious illness. Some may even result in a premature landing. Palliative care helps to minimize or even avoid some of the turbulence. And when the time comes for a landing, palliative care helps to make sure it’s a smooth and gentle one. Life isn’t about milestones, but about moments. #palliativecare #supportivecare #thejourneymatters
