🚀 If you've been following #Phoenix's meteoric rise recently, you know that Phoenix is increasingly becoming a hub of the business events industry. The recent update on the Market Feasibility Study for the Phoenix Convention Center has some eye-opening recommendations that signal even bigger things to come! 💡CSL Tourism, the consulting firm behind the study, suggests that long-term planning and investment in the Phoenix Convention Center is vital for the city to stay competitive. Key recommendations include up to 150,000 square feet of contiguous expansion of the upper exhibit hall and 40,000 square feet of added meeting space, plus supporting infrastructure. CSL also emphasizes the creation of an entertainment district around the Convention Center, adding street-level retail, restaurants, and entertainment - creating a 24/7 hub that attendees will love! 🎉 CSL further recommended adding an additional 800 to 1,200 full-service convention hotel rooms - this, coupled with the growth of Phoenix's meetings and events industry, spells a golden opportunity for businesses and event professionals alike. As HERITAGE has expanded rapidly in the Phoenix market, we've been fortunate to witness first-hand the city's incredible growth and commitment to the business events industry. This proposed expansion of the Phoenix Convention Center would take things to the next level, not only keeping pace with other Convention Center expansions across the nation, but catapulting Phoenix into the top tier of convention destinations. Here's to the future of #Phoenix and the business events industry! 🥂 I don't know about you, but I'm most excited by the prospect of even bigger events coming into our backyard! #KeepItGrowing #EventProfs #MeetingsIndustry #PhoenixGrowth #CityPlannning #ConventionCenter #KeepItGrowing #BusinessEvents Visit Phoenix

BMO Centre at Stampede Park welcomes the world to Western Canada’s largest convention centre On June 5, 2024, Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC), The Calgary Stampede Stampede, and their partners celebrated the grand opening of the BMO Centre at Stampede Park, marking its official status as Western Canada’s largest convention centre. Calgary’s BMO Centre at Stampede Park is officially now Western Canada’s largest convention centre, with the grand opening of its 565,000sqft expansion. Following decades of planning and four years of construction, the over 1,000,000sqft Tier 1 convention facility opens its doors for the first time, not only creating an architectural landmark for Calgary, but making gatherings even greater with the ability to host a scale of convention the city hasn’t been able to previously accommodate. Joel Cowley, CEO of the Calgary Stampede, said: "For four years, we have been promising that the expanded BMO Centre will offer Calgarians, southern Albertans and visitors to our city a greater way to gather. Today, it is with immeasurable pride that we open the doors to the BMO Centre at Stampede Park. The BMO Centre expansion was built for Calgary and southern Alberta, with the vision of creating a world-class facility both in terms of design and the ability to provide exceptional guest experiences through our signature western hospitality. "With the interest we’ve seen from the meetings and conventions industry before the doors have even opened, we know that this facility is going to have a positive impact on Calgary’s economy by bolstering the tourism and hospitality sectors. We built this for our future, and we look forward to realising the success of the expansion in the decades to come." The building, designed by leading design team Stantec, Populous and S2 Architecture, represents the next generation of convention facilities, one that promises best-in-class guest experience, boasts precedent-setting design architecture, and serves as a gathering place for convention attendees and the local community alike. It's exciting to see in-person conferences making a comeback! There's nothing quite like face-to-face interaction and collaboration with fellow attendees. At a recent corporate event, we got creative with facility signage, and the result was fantastic! Check out this short video to see what we mean. #eventplanning #facilitiesmanagement #corporateevents

"What is Non Plus Ultra?" I've had that question asked to me quite a few times these last couple months out and about. Let me tell you: You probably already know a lot of the venues. Now, meet the name behind them. Non Plus Ultra represents some of the most iconic special event venues in San Francisco, Denver, and more. If you're in the events industry or even just familiar with the San Francisco Bay Area, you know unforgettable locations like the Palace of Fine Arts and The San Francisco Mint. Not to mention SVN West or SF's newest special events space, Storek. If there's an event you have coming up or know someone who is planning their conference, product launch, corporate holiday party, or just wants a really unique location, let me help you out. Non Plus Ultra venues have flexible options, whether it's a partial rental for 100, or activating over 140,000 square feet of event space, look no further. Remember the name. GROWING YOUR PERSONAL BRAND THROUGH THE POWER OF VIDEO ⚡ ▶️ 🧡 Currently working on Wathaurong Country
Saw this revealed today and... What do we think? I'm quite conflicted about it. As someone who has grown up in Geelong there has always been talk about a convention centre for as long as I've lived. A convention centre in Geelong has always been used a carrot by state and federal governments of each cycle to get local councils on side. I understand that changes will be made especially when impacting our historical buildings (see Jack Herd 's most recent post) and changes to our CBD landscape. I welcome the change but we need public infrastructure first. How do you plan on getting people there? We see they are building hotels (because of course, capitalism) but the conditions of roads and traffic? The pause that this project will bring to our overall infrastructure projects? The dire ones? The ones that are always being argued in our collapsing council? Those ones? If we are finally ready for a convention centre, and put your money where your mouth is an invest in local infrastructure. Invest in local businesses. Support locals and the traditional custodians of the land on which you want to build this damn thing on. #GeelongConventionCentre #GeelongNews #SupportLocalBusiness #SupportTarditionalCustodians
We're excited to announce that Plenary Group Conventions have been appointed to deliver the Geelong Convention and Exhibition Centre precinct! The project includes the construction of the purpose-built convention and exhibition space, incorporating a 1000 seat venue, two large exhibition spaces, meeting rooms, conference facilities and flexible event spaces. The precinct will also be home to retail spaces for food and beverage offerings, a 200-room Crowne Plaza Hotel and a large public plaza that promises to become a feature of the Geelong waterfront. Early works, including site establishment and preparation, will start on site in August 2023. The precinct development is the centrepiece of the Geelong City Deal - a $500+ million commitment between the Australian and Victorian governments and the City of Greater Geelong. Learn more ⬇
