Congratulations, Kira!
Kira's story is a beautiful example of how someone with a disability can crush it when joining the workforce. She participated in the #Change100 #internship programme in 2023, securing a three-month marketing internship with Morgan Lovell, a prestigious, accessible, and inclusive employer.
With dyslexia, Kira thrived with the right adjustments, tech and support. Her performance & team gel was so impressive that she was offered a permanent role at the end of the internship. It's fantastic to hear her impact on the organisation and how much she got from the internship.
Here are some stats for you. We know that 1 in 5 employers won't hire disabled individuals and that 83% of people become disabled during their working life. This creates a largely untapped and often hidden talent pool for all employers. #Change100's talent pool is full of young, disabled talent who can create an impact for your organisation.
Employers such as Morgan Lovell recognise the value of hiring individuals with disabilities for cultural diversity and the bottom line. As approximately 24% of every business's customers have a disability, it is essential to have a workforce that can cater to their needs.
We're currently recruiting our 2024 Change 100 interns and employers. If you'd like to apply, please go to our website: https://lnkd.in/etWJXwWs
The deadline for an internship is approaching fast - apply by the 30th Nov.
