I am currently in Copenhagen at #DTWIgnite, participating in the world’s leading telecommunication conference with a team of great architects and developers. We are sharing our perspective as the leading digital telco on the event’s key topic: what it takes to be AI native, while collaborating with industry shapers. In her inspiring keynote, Executive Board member for Technology & Innovation, Claudia Nemat, generated a genuine ovation by emphasizing that technology should serve a purpose, encapsulated in her vision of "human-centered technology." This means that whatever we do with our fantastic technology, the human being is in the center. She elaborated on this with three pillars: 🔸 Everything we develop must have a practical benefit for our customers. She cited T Phones as an example, where an AI-based assistant provides shortcut solutions through voice input, instead of navigating various interfaces. 🔸 Everything we create should adhere to ethical standards and do no harm. While AI and technology cannot prevent war or environmental degradation, they can help us solve these problems more effectively. 🔸 We must always consider limited resources and avoid any waste. She stressed the need to bring technology back to our customers while exploring collaboration with industry players around open APIs and interfaces. Collaboration is one of the most, if not the most, important messages and defining element of this event. Yesterday, we demonstrated this by presenting our collaboration with Orange. Alongside Koen Vermeulen, Group CIO, we highlighted the need to go beyond sharing ideas and start producing software together. We welcomed Girija SAINT ANGE from Orange and Jannik Krämer, our product manager, who shared details about improving developer productivity by streamlining and utilizing our respective CI/CD platforms. Earlier that day, with our Chief Engineering Officer, Laurent Donnay, Ruben Schaubroeck, Senior Partner from McKinsey & Company, and Antonietta Mastroianni, Chief Digital and IT Officer from Proximus, we discussed the key findings from McKinsey’s recent IT Excellence Panel Survey. Here is what I find particularly interesting: prioritizing efficiency is not for its own sake, as IT cost leaders consistently outperform their peers on multiple excellence dimensions, such as engineering and architecture. We are here from different parts of Deutsche Telekom, including product, network, and IT, sharing our story at our magenta booth. We are also represented in TM Forum’s Innovation Hub, addressing the industry’s most critical challenges, and we are also participating in an ongoing hackathon with Google, harnessing AIVA as TM Forum's enterprise search agent to address business challenges. Today I experienced an inspiring TM Forum DTW - Ignite in Copenhagen. Attracting more than 4,000 telco and tech brains. 👨🚀 I started the day with a fire-side chat with Nik Willetts, CEO of TM Forum. We talked about the future or our industry. What it means to be a globally leading telco. Driving #humancenteredtechnology at Deutsche Telekom, for our customers, for people. In short, it is all about: 1. Creating practical benefits for people. Like we recently demonstrated with our AI phone concept. Or our cell tower to go. 2. Adhering to ethical standards, applying responsible #AI. Respecting people‘s right to digital self-determination. 3. Being frugal. Fighting against any wastage. Moving towards increasingly autonomous networks. Built with AI, for AI applications, for people. Following the zero-bit-zero-watt principle. With Jonathan Abrahamson, I signed the agreement to form a joint venture for our Global Telco AI Alliance. Together with James Ryu, Suk Geun SG Chung 정석근, Will Cho of @SKTelekom, Harrison Lung of e&, William Woo of Singtel and Kimihiko Kaneko of SoftBank Group Corp. It will focus on the development and launch of a multilingual Telco LLM. Visiting our booth and the Open Digital Architecture team, it becomes clear that contributing to and receiving from the community is crucial to driving digital transformation in our industry. With proper architecture. In my video with Peter Leukert , we talk about our impressions of the fair as well as collaboration across domains and industries. It was amazing to meet so many people who are passionate about telecommunications. #ReimagineTheNetwork. Thanks to the team for our booth and the engagement within the TM Forum. And to my team: Peter, Jon, Abdu Mudesir, Armin Sumesgutner, Jan Hofmann, Peter Arbitter, Shekhar Kulkarni and all tech and innovation teams 🙏 Nadine Junker, Sharareh G., Mamta Bharti, Karsten Thon, Christopher Braun, Sigrid Braun, Marcus Greuel Csaba Garay, Christian Heck, Sergei Lukin, Björn Oestrich, Dushyantt Garg, Sri-Jagadish(Jag) Baddukonda, János Farkas-Cseke, Andreas Böhmann

The Genesys team was out in full force this week at Channel Partners. There were tons of great conversations around CX, the market's direction, and where Genesys specifically fits. A few themes from those conversations: 🔶 AI is going to mature and iterate continually over time. While organizations (in general) are still slow to adopt some AI capabilities, partners stand at an incredible time to help companies sift through the confusion and noise! Genesys is primed to be a clear difference maker with various AI capabilities natively on the platform. 🔶 The Genesys and Epic partnership is going to be huge! This topic came up repeatedly as healthcare payers and providers look for ways to create a better patient experience, further enable their care teams, and identify areas of friction and fallout in patient journeys. These are only possible through this partnership—I'll share more details next week! 🔶Partnerships are embedded in the #OneGenesys Culture. Not only was our Channel team in full force, but various folks, from top-level leadership to individual sellers, attended our partner meetings this week—listening, learning, and building relationships alongside our partner team. All that said, it's incredible to see all the various partners this week and continue to build on our relationships; we certainly couldn't do what we do without you, and for that, we are incredibly grateful!
