Is that realy needed? I think it is only nice to have , even when you are not in the offroad area. The simple thinks are mostly better. It is my opinion. Simply Practical and Good.

2wDid you know that the G-Klasse, also known as the G-Wagen (acronym for "Geländewagen"), originated from an order placed by the Shah of Iran? In the 1970s, the Shah, a significant Mercedes-Benz shareholder at that time, ordered 20,000 off-road vehicles. Mercedes eagerly accepted this lucrative deal and sought external assistance from Steyr-Daimler-Puch, a military equipment manufacturer based in Graz, Austria, to meet the Shah's requirements. Steyr-Daimler-Puch, which was later split into separate companies about a decade and a half ago, had experience in building "monsters" like the Pinzgauer, a 6x6 military transporter. The G-Wagons's DNA, with its original rugged design, continues to be a hallmark of the vehicle, even in the current electric variant with the wonderful function known as the "G-Turn". Although initially developed as a military off-road vehicle, the G-Wagon later expanded to include more luxurious models, such as the Brabus edition.
