We are excited to have Sean L. joining Matrisome Bio for the summer! Sean is currently a third-year undergrad at MIT. After spending her previous internship at the MIT Koch Institute and the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research at the University of Copenhagen, Sean is excited to develop her skills with us!   Beyond the lab, Sean plays on the MIT varsity women's soccer team and loves watching the Premier League. As a coffee and matcha enthusiast, you can also find her exploring cafes around Boston. We look forward to working with Sean and are thrilled about the contributions she will bring to our team!

Welcome to the team, Suma Prabhu, PhD! Suma is joining Matrisome Bio as a Senior Scientist. She comes to us with over 10 years experience in pharmacology, drug development and in vivo models of diseases. Suma gained her expertise at MGH - Harvard Medical School, Fusion Pharmaceuticals, Sunnybrook and the University of Illinois. Prior to this, Suma earned her PhD from Manipal Academy of Higher Education.   Beyond science, Suma is an enthusiastic cook, enjoys music, loves to travel and explore different cultures and foods, and has a passion for portrait painting, hiking, nature, and gardening. We are excited to have Suma on board and look forward to the valuable contributions she will make to our team!

Welcome to Matrisome Bio’s first co-op student, Kevin Ng! Kevin is currently a third-year undergraduate Biochemistry student at Northeastern University. This marks Kevin’s second co-op experience, following an initial one at CRISPR Therapeutics. Outside of work, Kevin can often be found in his favorite cafés, loves doing film photography, watching Formula 1, and playing with his dog. Kevin is a curious and dedicated scientist, and we are excited to be working with Kevin!

Thrilled to kick off 2024 with fantastic news: a warm welcome to Matrisome Bio newest team member, John Rhoden! Joining us as Head of Research, John arrives with a wealth of industry and leadership expertise gained at Eli Lily and Fusion Pharmaceuticals. Previously, John earned his PhD from MIT. Beyond the lab, John enjoys cycling around the Boston area and skiing with his family, adding a unique flair to our dynamic team. Join us in extending a warm welcome to John!

We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our expanding team, Dennis Zimmermann (Ph.D.). Dennis has joined Matrisome Bio as the Associate Director of Research. With years of industry expertise acquired during his tenure at NanoView Biosciences and Avrobio, as well as leadership experience as a group leader at MIT, Dennis brings a wealth of knowledge to our organization. He earned his PhD from Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich and conducted his postdoctoral research at the University of Chicago. Beyond his professional pursuits, Dennis is a passionate food enthusiast, dedicated runner, avid hiker, and skilled snowboarder. We look forward to the valuable contributions Dennis will make to Matrisome Bio's continued success.
